Strasbourg struck me as a vibrant city with many young people and many nationalities.
I found it easy to walk around the city and appreciated the many different styles of architecture.
There was no outstanding museum or building, but the overall impression was good.

The history of the city of Strasbourg was never ending! The old buildings, the beautiful views as well as the very helpful and friendly shop owners and citizens ensures that we will return to Strasbourg. We stayed at Hotel Gutenberg (right around the corner from Notre Dame) and very close to restaurants and shops.

One of the best places I have been to. Notre dame is a must visit. Take in the beauty of the canals and stroll by.
There are boats plying on the canal. Don’t take them. Walk is the best. People are very friendly. Beer is good.

Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year.
Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year. I am not a big fan of Christmas markets, but the one in Strasbourg is one of the oldest ones in Europe. The city is not too big, it is worth walking around, having a coffee or lunch on one of the terraces in Petite France or taking a boat trip on the canals. The tower of the cathedral gives an amazing view of the city.
The location was perfect. Just on the edge of the beautiful petite France area of Strasbourg, so you're really well placed for sightseeing and exploring. The breakfast was also amazing. Lots of options including all the usual continental breads, cheeses and meats as well as bacon, eggs and lots of fruit/cereal options. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice too. The bathroom in our hotel room was also lovely - really spacious and light. Our room was comfortable but pretty basic. All in all, it was a great one night stay!
The location of Hotel Roses is great. The Ill River and its broad walkway is just across the street. It was a short, pretty walk along the river to the Strasbourg Cathedral and the heart of the city. Several inexpensive restaurants are along this walkway. We loved the rose themed decor. Our bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak English. The breakfast was ample with a good assortment of croissants, breads, cheeses, meats, and yogurts plus coffee, tea and juices.
This is the perfect hotel to stay in for a weekend getaway in Strasbourg. The location is perfect - so close to public transport and right in the Petite France area with heaps of cafes and restaurants and literally steps from the impressive cathedral. The room was small but I spent the majority of my time out exploring Strasbourg anyway. The area is very safe and it was absolutely magical walking around in the evening. The room was very clean and the reception staff were very helpful.
This hotel came highly recommended by Rick Steves and by Lonely Planet. This place deserves all glowing reviews it receives. Hotel du Dragon is tasteful, very well run and spotless business-class place near Petite France, and within 5 min walk to the Cathedral.
Our room was cute, sparkling clean, with windows looking into tree-shaded courtyard. Air condition was great during the heat wave.
Breakfast was delicious, personnel professional and friendly.
Staff was very friendly and helpful!
We immediately felt welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel.
There is a water dispenser in the lobby, where you can get filtered water. They even have bottles there that you can fill up.
The bed was very comfortable as well, I literally slept like a Bebe.
And of course the location, only 10 minutes away from the station, and literally in the centre of Strasbourg. I would definitely stay there again!
Great location, beautifully decorated, the most amazing powerful rain shower I have ever seen, two comfortable queen/double beds, remodeled bathroom. it was so close to everything Petite France, cathedral and train station. we walked everywhere. overall a great property specially for families who need a small kitchen too. we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely go back whenever we are in Strasbourg.❤️
Good location, close to the Rail Station and town center Strasbourg and Petite France. My room was the most expensive of my trip (EU Parliament meeting in town), was not sure what to expect. Nice room, very modern, my room had a balcony with table and chairs overlooking hotel courtyard. Hotel breakfast good. Pleasant staff. The hotel has a lot of potential.
The location is convenient, right across from the train station and a reasonable walk into the old town and petite France. We stayed here during the Christmas season, walking back and forth to the markets. Large bathroom and good sized room for a European hotel. Appreciated that lights in halls use motion sensors to help conserve energy.
Arrived by train from Paris and was an easy walk with light luggage to the hotel. Room had a nice view overlooking the street. Wifi was good. TV had a good selection of music. Location was excellent, a few minutes walk away from Petite France area and easy walk to rest of Old Town. Plenty of restaurants around the area.
We like the ambience and deco of the hotel. Bed is comfortable with daily complimentary juice and bottle water. Water pressure at shower head is good. Staff is helpful for helping us to book the train back to Paris. Hotel is walking distance to Petite France and many good eateries.
the hotel is very nice and sweet, staff is more than helpful and too friendly and the location is amazing in 3 min. walking you can be in Notre Damn de Strasbourg and shops and 15 min. walking to Le Petit France.
It will be my first choice always to go to it
This hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Europe. It is everything you picture when you think about France and Paris (even though Strasbourg is hours away from Paris)
I love French culture, food, and ambiance . Le Moon is the personification of France.
Located in closest proximity to Gare de Strasbourg. Ideal for overnight stay when taking an early TGV to Paris Gare de l‘Est arriving there well before 9am. Restaurants and Strasbourg city center (Cathedral, la Petite France etc.) in walking distance.
we’ve stayed before whilst passing through this area of France. it’s a good location if you don’t want to go into the centre of Strasbourg as it’s on the outskirts. safe & secure parking on site in a garage under the hotel. lovely friendly staff.
clean, comfortable, beautiful hotel
you are right in the heart of Strasbourg yet it was quiet enough to have our window open at night - great staff and facilities - best hotel we stayed in at that price point
The mattress!!! OMG I love the mattress so much. It's on the firm side, super comfortable, I think I will come to Strasbourg again just to stay in this hotel and sleep a couple more nights on their bed.
Everything! Lovely hotel, great room, spacious clean and modern refurbished to a high standard and great breakfast choice. Loved Strasbourg and if we come back we will definitely stay at Le Grand
The location was very convenient for the station and easy walking distance into the city centre and Petite France.
There was a good range of options for breakfast.
