It was an ideal spot for a first visit. It was my second visit but first for my friend.
I was struggling with a knee injury so Arricfe being pretty flat was a great help.
We caught the run up to the Sardine burial festival and the procession . Wed have loved to have stayed longer.

Very relaxed city with lovely promenade and beach, eating houses and markets/ shops. Felt very safe. Great access to taxis and tours. Lots of bike / scooter / car rentals. Great marina area. Exceptionally clean and litter free. Great location for visiting the rest of the island. 6 minutes to the airport.

Not many attractions, and not a very pedestrian-friendly place. Some good food to be had, though. I saw stunning scenery in the interior but the city of Arrecife was not a memorable place to stay. .

Arrecife is nice city, and Lanzarote is great island.
Arrecife is nice city, and Lanzarote is great island. Something quite different. When you realize, that whole island is a product of a vulcanic activity, and everything there is basically a rock, it is unbelievable, that people live, and even thrive there.
There is lot to see. They have pretty good public transport, althought it took me a while to understand the timetable :), but if you really want to visit most of the tourist spots, you derfinitely need a car. Rent it from Cicar, they have great prices, and want no deposit.
And one tip from me. If you want a great hike, go to city of Maquez and take a "Camino del Gayo". Walk the RED hike, and after a mile, climb up to a cliff, and walk on the cliff for a 2 miles. There are beautiful views there. It is the same view you have from Mirador del Rio, only much much better and without tons of people. When I took the hike, I never met a soul, was all by myself, and a tremendous views.

Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote and is therefore not...
Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote and is therefore not just a tourist resort. It has two main bus stations which is important if you want to use public transport to get around the island. The public transport is good (a little haphazard with timings) but a great alternative to driving. There's a good range of restaurants and bars with fresh fish being a speciality of the island. The seafront walk is beautiful with access to lots of little beaches as well as the lovely del reducto beach. If you like shopping there's a great range of shops with the main shopping area close to the beach front as well as a new mall a 15 minute walk from the information centre. You can walk from Arrecife along a well constructed level promenade all the way to Playa Honda where there is a good range of bars and cafes. You can continue the walk past there to the touristy Puerto del Carmen and catch a bus back to Arrecife. Self catering is very easy with a range of supermarkets stocking a wide range of fresh produce. There's also miles of safe cycling lane along the coast from Costa Teguise through Arrecife to Puerto Del Carmen. There is a large cinema and other cultural events in the town - the carnival is apparently a great time to visit (in February). All in all, Arrecife is where you find the 'heart' of Lanzarote. Although it is a busy town there are so many quiet corners - parks, harbours etc to sit quietly and enjoy the sun.

Good place to stay in Lanzarote.
Good place to stay in Lanzarote. Close to the airport, has a nice and small beach, good to travel around in the island. Easy to use the bus but check the shedules as some buses run only a few times during the day.
Sunrise and sunset is great to watch from here.
Recommend to rent a bike as there is a good bike trail on the island.
Blue 17 Roof Top Restaurant & Bar - good coctails and nice view
Papá Miguel - cheap and good food next to the port
The property is exactly as described! Lots of room and everything you need to prepare simple meals or reheat any leftovers from restaurant meals. The bed was really comfortable and lots of closet space to unpack if you are here for a longer stay. we spent four nights in Arrecife as a base for day trips. it worked out perfectly. We had a car for part of our stay and quite easily found street parking. it was absolutely perfect for our needs.
Casa Naos it's a perfect place where to spend a journey in Arrecife. The apartment is fully furnished, bright, spacious and clean, we love its style as well 😍 simply beautiful and welcoming. It's close to bars, restaurants, mercadona and nice area for walking. The communication with the lady was excellent, she is helpful and kind. Don't miss the occasion to stay here! Highly recommend.
Wonderful accomodation with great hosts in the best location you can think of in exciting Arrecife!
Everything a traveller needs: A shared kitchen with all utensils incl. sharp knifes (!), space for food and a washing machine as well!
Don‘t speak about the different roof terraces!
And don‘t be afraid of the 2 dogs, quite small and well trained.
Muchas gracias, Fiona & Enrique!
Great location in Arrecife on the seafront, close to the restaurants of Charco de St. Ginés. Fab sun terrace on the roof with views of the fort opposite. Fantastic welcoming and friendly staff. Good value for money. One of the best places I have stayed in Lanzarote, and certainly the best in Arrecife.
Angelina is a very nice and precise host, Marina di Lanzarote a very clean and well equipped Marina, also restaurants offer very good quality, as a whole a super nice experience. Parking is easy and the centre of town, nice to visit, is just ten minutes walk, on a pleasant route.
Lovely location overlooking fishing harbour in Arrecife. Not in one of the big resorts, but the real city.
Location overlooking the harbour was excellent.
The veranda (2nd floor) around the apartment was fantastic.
Local cafes, bars and restaurants within 5-10 min walk.
We had a room straight to the beach across the street. Comfortable, spacy room with nice balcony. Breakfast was good and has different options of hot meal every day (we stayed 4 nights), food was preaty tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. We are happy chose this hotel
It was such a lovely staying. Everyone was so kinds and nice, also the breakfast was great! I enjoyed talking with the owner every morning and he gave me really nice advices. Not just about the place and Lanzarote but also life worth advices. Thanks a million.
The location is perfect, it's close to everything in Lanzarote.
The house itself is very clean and the host gives you all the information for the check-in and check-out.
I'd definitely come back to that place if I ever go back to Lanzarote.
Lovely friendly place. Quiet side street not far from anything.
Being in the capital, it had a local feel. The other guests were multinational with some Spaniards.
I would definitely go back if I go to Lanzarote again.
Very nice appartment hotel just by the water and center, all You needed and really nice landlord and staff. Can highly recommend this to anyone planning for a stay on Lanzarote. Top!!
Our flights were cancelled and we had a rough few days in poor accommodation and this was the perfect way to end our stay in Lanzarote. The children loved it, it was quiet and clean
A wonderfully modern property in excellent decorative order close to the sea-front in Arrecife with lots of restaurant and transport facilities within walking distance
