It's an attractive town, with good restaurants and shopping and lovely architecture and historic landmarks. The park is lovely too, and we visited museo casa de cervantes which was quite a highlight and beautifully presented. Quite an underrated town I would say.
We ate at a couple of good restaurants la tasquita which is a good tapas bar and also Los zagales where we had a fixed price menu which was excellent.

Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor.
Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor. Cathedral is less impressive. During my visit in September a festival was going on and the city was alive with music and food stalls every where. A lot of bike lanes and bikes for hire make you go around the city very easy.

Lovely, compact city to stroll around.
Lovely, compact city to stroll around. Plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants. Some fabulous architecture. Places worth visiting are National Sculpture Museum, Cathedral and Parque Campo Grande (beautiful, tranquil Park in the centre of the city). Unfortunately, the Casa de Cervantes was closed the weekend I was there, so can't comment on it.
I had no need for public transport except when I went to the football stadium (which is 2/3km beyond the river).
Overall, a very friendly, pleasant and safe city. Would definitely return.

We picked Valladolid a convenient place to rest, for a couple of days, on a long journey but it is a fascinating small city with a rich history and lots to see on foot, a huge range of places to drink and eat and watch the world go by.

What a lovely place!
What a lovely place! We stayed overnight driving from Portugal to Santander for the ferry. Arrived early afternoon and had a wander around the town. It's such a pretty place, lovely buildings, cafes, bars, a really lively pleasant vibe.

We were greeted and felt very welcomed by Hotel Manager Roberto. You could tell he was very proud of the hotel and city. He gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. It was a shame we were only there one night - however, we would definately return.
The duty manager on reception was warm, friendly, helpful and professional. We arrived on Spain's national day official holiday and the restaurant was closed. We hadn't been warned about this and had to make other arrangements. She gave us restaurant recommendations and helped us get drinks and snacks while she was busy with other guests presumably in the same position but managed us all cheerfully and efficiently. She arranged with the restaurant manager for us to eat breakfast with our dog in a separate room. Thank you!
We had driven across Spain and where actually booked into The Gran Posada la Mesnade at Olmedio , which on arrival was a complete disaster, being empty , dark and freezing cold , so we were left in a bit of a jam as we were extremely tired and had dogs with us . Luckily I found the ibis on Booking . Com and we stayed there for the night . The staff were extremely helpful , and provided a ground floor room which was easy with the dogs . An evening meal and very comfortable bedroom . Good breakfast and excellent coffee !
A great stopover if you are travelling from Portugal up through Spain to get the ferry or drive through France. Gorgeous converted monastery with a huge atrium. Lovely bacon and eggs for breakfast and very comfortable spacious double room. We were here during the Covid restrictions so we were 2 or about 10 people in the hotel that night. It felt a bit strange but was also nice to be attended to so well! They have also put in excellent sanitisation measures to protect staff and guests. Underground secure parking too.
The location is excellent. I come to Valladolid fairly often, so I knew what to expect.
The property size is quite good. The main selling point to me was the terrace and the view from it.
The apartment is reasonably well stocked and probably has everything you need to cook a meal - although why would you when so many incredible restaurants and bars are only steps away.
The property is very close to being excellent, there are a few easy fixes for existing problems.
This place has a excellent location, once you get there by car and have park the car at the hotel underground parking, Other than that, breakfast excellent, attention was very very good and location is next to the cathedral within waling distance to historic site, the main walking tourist roads and Plaza Major. Will not hesitate to stay here again! BTW- the small balcony looking at the plaza was very very nice!
The hotel is modern, very clean and the staff are lovely. The underground parking is secure and convenient. The accessible rooms are large with good wheelchair accessible bathroom. The breakfast is good with a lot of choice. The bar is lovely for a drink or good light meals too.
The hotel is on an attractive wide street and about 10 min walk from the city centre of Valladolid.
Beautiful apartment which makes you feel welcome and at home, so many nice touches and has all the facilities you could need. Bed is comfortable and the view is lovely. The location is also superb with lots of nightlife however the apartment itself is quiet. I will absolutely stay here again next time I return to Valladolid!
Excellent staff, location, value, rooms, and hospitality. High quality and value for the price. Beautiful rooms, clean, and spacious. One of the top five hotels in Spain for over twenty years of travel there. Centrally located, great neighborhood, very close to the Renfe (train) station. Highly recommended.
Price
Although I was in Spain for weeks at similar price points and this was least favorable
There is a bar & dining on site I had wine that was good there with good price .
I didn't eat here
They changed my room from attic booking to 1st floor.
As I recall the water pressure was good in shower.
In front of the hospital where my father was being administered to after an open heart surgery that ended wrong. Unfortunately i could not enjoy the beautiful scenery of Valladolid city. But for sure a very good place to stay for a couple of nights.
Location, central for seeing Valladolid. Reception and welcome from staff, especially Roberto. He was very helpful and knowledgable about where to visit and restaurants to use. Room was spacious, comfortable all you needed for a city break.
The apartment is well located, not too far from the train station and Valladolid centre, and all rooms are clean. Once inside, we felt we were at home, kitchen and living room, close to many shops.
everything excellente. the Junior Suite was very ample with a lot a light by the huge windows. The hotel is like 2 miles from the center Plaza Mayior, but was a good walk to exercise,
The hotel is amazing: the rooms are great and clean, beds were big and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and there was a lot of space in the restaurant. The staff was helpful.
We loved the quiet room and the beautiful view. The hotel is in the heart of Valladolid. Adventuring to enjoy the myriad of museums and historic sites was easy and fun.
This was a perfect place to spend a week in Valladolid. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. Gustavo is a top notch host! The location is also excellent.
