Lefkada town is just a short drive from the villa and there is free parking close to the harbour, so it is easy to take a short drive, 3 minutes, or long walk into town. Fabulous restaurants and bars once you get there.

Most people come here for sailing.
Most people come here for sailing. It's a busy little town with lots of tourist activities such as shopping and to Taverna's for eating. It's recommended to get a hire car and there's a few places in town where you can hire a small vehicle for a good price. Most of the good beaches are on the west coast. It can take between 30 and 70 minutes to get there.

Lefkada town was small enough to explore.
Lefkada town was small enough to explore. Lots of friendly cats. Good food. A variety of shops. We went in time for the International Folklore festival which was a bonus!! This was a wonderful experience!!! August 20-27. The bus system - KTEL - was efficient, affordable and accessible. The Milos Orlof Beach Resort was 10 minutes walk from our villa. The host Dinos and his team -Yannis and Aleki -were very welcoming. The beach was lovely and we could watch the windsurfing all day there. Most of the beaches had pebbles and were rocky so having water shoes with rubber soles will help with getting in and out of the water.

Lefkada Town is busy with lots of great boutiques, shops and restaurants. It is well equipped with supermarkets, coffee shops and a great bakery right next to the taxi rank. There is a beautiful marina but no beach, I would recommend staying on the outskirts to the west and travelling in for a meal or shopping so you can get the best of both worlds.

Couple of nice beaches, but they are overcrowded, super expensive and rude Greeks trying to steal your money. Filthy toilets in the most tourist locations and the Municipality of Lefkada is one of the worst. Our car was blocked in a proper parking space outside the Cityhall due to a flea market and they wouldn't let us leave. There was no sign, we called the police, we were right, but there was nothing they could do. Horrific experience

The parking next to the building is not a problem. The hosts were very kind! They welcomed us with ice cream and other small things which was really pleasant! They even let us use a private parking space which was not included in our booking. Spacious apartment located at a quiet area.
