The beach access was super close to our room, the room was clean and refreshing, the resort restaurant had some of the best food I've had in awhile, the tiki bar staff were great, everything was just amazing during our stay😁

A lovely lady greeted us and explained that the only supermarket would close at 7 and directed us to the only restaurant that was open (food was amazing though). (Many businesses are closed due to the devastating hurricane last September 22). Unfortunately we did not know when booking about the hurricane hence why some of our scores are a bit low. It isn't the owner's fault. The pool was obliterated so we were unable to have that option. The beach was only 100 yards and was very nice, water was warm :) The room was clean and the beds comfortable, bathroom was clean, kitchenette was well stocked with plates, cutlery, pans etc. However, even though our visit was spoilt due to the island being devastated by the hurricane, we are glad to provide the Island Inn with much needed payment to help them rebuild.
Offering an outdoor pool and year-round outdoor pool, Seahorse Cottages on Sanibel is set in Sanibel in the Sanibel Island Region, 900 metres from Sanibel Lighthouse.

Sanibel is still in the recovery time so there were few restaurants etc open but that was not a problem that we couldn't work around. the beaches were beautiful and it was my shelling dream place.

Sanibel is still a great place to vacation.
Sanibel is still a great place to vacation. Although it is heartbreaking to see all the damage from the hurricane, it's still a great option. We've been going to Sanibel for about 8 years and it's our happy place. We can't wait for the island to renew itself.

Sanibel is a beautiful island, so relaxing as soon as you get there! The island is so well maintained and driving is easy.
The cycle paths are fantastic too and my preferred way of exploring the island.
Lots of accommodation and restaurant choices.
Plenty of wildlife to see and it is superb for shelling. I only spent 3 nights here but I wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday. I hope to return one day!
Wie always choose this hotel on Sanibel: Awesome beautiful place and houses, built and decorated with much love, utilities for shelling on site (a washplace for shells is outstanding!), own grassland with showers and hammrock, directly behind the beach, quiet location, bar (Crazy Flamingo) reachable by foot and the staff is really nice! An 0815 ibis hotel room in a concrete building you can have everywhere, but this nice cottages are extraordinary!
The Condo unit was nice,…the location on the Island was good. It took a long time to figure out how to work the televisions The furniture was updated and comfortable and it was well decorated unit with lots of nice signs and pictures on the walls. Good decorating. The pricing was higher than it should’ve been, we were not on the beach,…you had to walk aways to the beach or to get to the very small the pool.
This resort was one of the few now opened 15 months after Hurricane Ian. There was nothing at all wrong with the facility; it was just not the cottage like facility we had patronized for the previous 27 years. Our “resort” was the Castaways. Hurricane Ian removed that completely from existence. Sanibel island Beach Resort is a hotel with direct access to the beach.
Great location within the island to explore but also not far from the mainland bridge. Hotel has direct access to the beach with sun loungers and parasols available which was a great plus for us. Our condo was clean and spacious, with a balcony and mosquito net so we could enjoy the evening outside with no insects.
Very quiete place. The room is big, and we appreciate the balcony. We appreciate the bikes (but had some difficulties to find 4, at least we only had to go to the beacher next hotel and there we found a lot). Good breakfast. The beach just in front of the hotel is so nice
we loved our stay- we had had another night elsewhere on Sanibel which was more than double the price with appealing customer service. We were checked in early and were given a personal tour - it felt that nothing was too much trouble! we loved the wildlife area too
The location of the hotel, along with the grounds and the pool are absolutely lovely! Although small the room had a fridge, microwave and they were also able to accommodate our request for a toaster. Bathroom is a great size just needs updating
Nicely located right on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Tiki bar on the property was nice - serving food and drink. Room had a balcony where you could see the Gulf. Staff was very accommodating and eager to help.
it’s relaxed atmosphere. right on the beach. So clean… beds sheets and towels changed every day. comfortable beds and feather pillows. so much included in the resort fee. bikes, paddle boards, breakfast, beach towels and beds.
Location is right on the beach, chairs umbrellas and carts along with beach towels are free, staff is very accomodating and pleasant, nice outdoor shower to help rinse off all the sand and salt. Beautiful beach, great stay.
Fabulous position, gorgeos grounds and buildings.Lovely staff. Great breakfasts. Comfortable.Walking distance to some restaurants. Freebies, padfleboardz, kayaks etc. Idyllic. Ideal for visiting Sanibel and Captiva.
Really lovely place with great facilities. So nice to see it recovering from the hurricane. Really welcoming atmosphere and we will definitely be back to stay on Sanibel in the future. Bed was really comfy too!
good beach location, lounge chairs were actually available on the beach, beach towels plentiful, decent outside bar and smallish pool with good set up and plenty of lounge chairs.
room was comfortable.
great location, perhaps the possibility of join two rooms for families.
Spacy rooms could be great but we know that you have limited space.
