The hotel is well located, you can do many things by foot and what it offers is good enough. I think our stay had nothing really special, but it was far from being a bad experience. I recommend the place.

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is another commercial wonderland square that takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city centre from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.
It was quite crowded in early May. We did a walking tour with Radius. Our guide Patrick was excellent but he had a larger group than we’d been promised, and it was hard to hear at times. We loved visiting the Market and having lunch in the biergarten there. We also enjoyed the the 1€ entry to the art museums on Sunday.

Very clean city, full of parks and gardens.
Very clean city, full of parks and gardens. Many young and active people. A lot of things to go and see. All around you can go on a bicycle. The public transport is organized perfectly. The only minus is the food - it's awful - only meet and potatoes!

Munich is beautiful.
Munich is beautiful. There is so much to explore - I wish we had stayed longer. The Marienplatz is spectacular as too are the churches. The markets are magnificent - I’ve never seen so many beautifully displayed food stalls.

Great city with great architecture, nice restaurants, and of course lots of activities.
I personally love visiting the Viktualienmarkt, then having a coffee and a Rohrnudel at Cafe Frischhut, which is conveniently located right next to it. You can spend a lot of time people watching, and to see real Múnchner is fun.
Loved climbing up the tower of St Peter’s
Church and we were lucky to have great weather so we could see the Alps.
A visit to Dalmayers, Manufactum and the famous Elli Seidl chocolaterie was a must. Best chocolate in town - for me at least
A walk along the river Isar is also nice - you can sit right at the river and take a breather from traffic and people, quite chilled there
The rooms were a very good size, super-clean. Great range of breakfast choices. Staff very helpful with our needs - the owner serves on the reception desk himself and is clearly very involved in the running of the hotel. Having stayed in Munich three times before, twice in the sightly over-restored city centre, I chose this alternative location for the green leafy feeling, and enjoyed the easy access to the Englisher Garten and the restaurants of Schwabing. City centre is still very easy accessible by public transport - or you can walk even.
Very comfortable hotel located in the south west part of Munich. The hotel is located in a quiet area, approximately 25 minutes (with public transportation) far from the city center (Marienplatz) and is very close to the Machtlfinger Straße subway station. The rooms are very clean, well furnished and quiet and soundproof. Free parking slots are available in the streets close to the hotel. The hotel staff is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Very cost-effective solution for a short stay in Munich.
Stayed here four nights, visiting our son who lives in Munich. Outside the city centre, but footsteps to the S-Bahn. The hotel has its own parking and spaces are available to guests for a reasonable fee. Fully automated check-in and check-out provide for swift arrival and departure. Clean, cozy and soundproof rooms, very good quality of beds, - ideal conditions for a comfortable stay. Great affordable price, especially for an expensive city like Munich. Approved.
The only pleasant experience of our 4 night stay was a staff member my the name of Natalia who was always smiling and even took the time to remember my son’s name. Overall though the hotel was very disappointing. We unknowingly came during the opening weekend of Oktoberfest and spent $325 per night for a hotel that is worth $75, at best. The location is so far from Old Town Munich yet they still charge $19 per day for parking!
A nice hotel with friendly staff, located in a beautiful neighborhood of Munich.
The hotel location is close to a subway station (U-Bahn) and also close to an S-Bahn station. You can move easily to the city center without spending much time on commuting.
Our room was nice and comfortable. We didn't have any problems with noise although there was a construction building on the other side of the street.
The location of the hotel was ideal. We booked this hotel as we wished to visit the Christmas Market which was only a short walk away. It was also convenient to visit other places with the city centre.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was cleaned daily.
There was a good choice of food for breakfast.
I can highly recommend this hotel for a city break in Munich.
The hotel lies outside the city centre of Munich. However, you can quickly get to there by public transport in around 20 minutes (having to switch trains/buses once). It is great that you can rent bikes free of charge. You can take them to cycle through the English garden into the city centre within roughly 30 minutes.
The hotel isn't a luxury hotel nevertheless room are wide, confortable and clean, the managers of the facility are kind and helpful, the breakfast included in the room fee has a good variety of choices and a free parking it's available inside the hotel courtyard fact that in a city like Munich it's a plus.
Receptionist was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was fantastic and I’ll definitely return when returning to Munich. The hotel is brilliantly situated as the Hauptbahnhof is opposite and you are in the city centre. Really easy for sightseeing and restaurants. Loved it.
The location is in the best part of Munich, I dream of living in Schwabing one day. You're literally a few steps from everything including excellent food, a great gym and the train. Best location possible. The price was also super cheap compared to all hotels in this location.
The selection of hot and cold food at breakfast was great.
The staff were very friendly and always happy to help.
Although there isn't lots around the hotel, it isn't far from Munich City Centre and it was only a 10min walk from my work conference, which was ideal for me.
It was in an excellent location - close to transport to city centre and ideally located close to the Olympia park and stadium where we were attending a concert. The hotel has easy access by U-Bahn and then S Bahn to Munich airport.
The hotel is a little outside the city centre of Munich but perfectly located for our needs. The personnel was really welcoming and explained us everything about the COVID restrictions in Bavaria. The room was calm, with good beds.
The staff was very friendly, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! Transportation, S-Bhan was also 2 blocks from the hotel which takes you to the airport or anywhere in Munich.
the location is very close to Munich Station, not far from the city center and easy to find places around the hotel. the room is clean bed and blankets are very comfy. staffs are very helpful
Very good hotel and cheaper around city centre
I had to check out 11 morning to asked the guy im reception let me stay more hours i will pay he say seat and don’t pay and very friendly

Very modern, well equipped hotel with well designed rooms, a nice bar area and an excellent breakfast. Located next to the U-Bahn station for easy access into Munich city centre.
The hotel has a great ambience. Very unique and cozy. It is located very close to Munich Central Station (a walking distance only) and also very close to the city centre.
absolutely everything… I only stay in the excelsior when in Munich. beautiful boutique hotel across from the train station and walkable to the city center.
