As we were cycling, a nice secure Garage was provided Angelique is a wonderful host, her Homemade Jams and Yogurt at breakfast went down so well. Our stay was very enjoyable

Meget autentisk overnatning. Lille sted hvor værts familien står til rådighed. Hjemmelavet frisk fransk morgenmad, med friskplukket bær og frugt fra haven. Der er en lille hund og der går høns i haven. Vi havde de dejligste overnatninger på stedet. OBS man er på landet og har brug for bil.

Les Maisons de Tatihou, The Originals Relais er et 3-stjernet overnatningssted der ligger ved stranden i Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue. Her er en have, restaurant og bar. This was simply exceptional, from the moment we arrived on the boat, right through our stay, to the time we left. We were simply mesmerised by the Island and by the hotel, and this stay is something we will remember for a long time to come. We stayed in a suite and the room was fantastic. The furniture was most comfortable and both it and the decor were very tasteful. The room temperature was always perfect and the views out to the garden were stunning. The bathroom was probably the best hotel bathroom I've ever experienced. In typical French fashion, the toilet is in its own room, while the bath, his/hers sinks, and shower, are in a different room. This latter part was spacious and modern, and all around great. The restaurant was great. The menu is simple, but was perfect for us, and not overly pricey. Hotel guests can access the museum free of charge. Its well worth the visit too. The island itself is fantastic. Though the review is for the hotel and not the island, it wouldn't feel complete without mentioning the island. The nature, the beach walks, the UNESCO site - all well worth taking the time to do or explore. Lastly, the staff were great. Very friendly and very helpful. I can't comment on the standard rooms in this hotel but I would recommend paying the extra to upgrade to the suite.

The lodges are all beautiful and impeccably done. The staff are wonderfully friendly and it is truly a special place to stay. The lodges are incredible. Such wonderful detail and all you see are trees from each window. There are little ovens, a hob and a full size fridge so plenty to make a small meal there but we had takeaway pizza from the local village. Early evening the staff lit a fire at the communal area and there were marshmallows and sticks for everyone to toast a marshmallow. There’s a box of children’s toys and some excellent beers and wine so it’s a lovely space to spend early evening. Everyone was really friendly and my children made friends with other children (despite not speaking the same language). I would not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone and will most certainly be back.
