Situated in Skellefteå, less than 1 km from Västerbotten Theatre, The Wood Hotel by Elite features a bar and views of the mountain. Breakfast was different in a good way. Local produce, fresh salad and huge array of pickles. Some standard breakfast items too, also of high quality and local where possible. The VANA spa on the top floor with views over the city is spectacular. Drinks prices were reasonable.

The staff is very helpful and even in a busy time like Christmas, they were still very cheerful and helpful. I also liked the location of the hotel, it was so easy to go the riverside, to the museums and the library as well. Being in a cold city, walkability is important i guess :) And the hotel is an old high school which was very well renovated

The location was very convenient. Everything was easily accessible by walking - shopping, restaurants, bus and train stations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hours were reasonable, the selection was great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. It was an older building, but obviously had been completely updated, so it had a lot of character but was very comfortable. The eating area was in a large glass covered courtyard that really added to the experience.
