The room was pretty and comfortable. A fan was enough to keep me fresh at night. There is a beautiful and calm beach very close to the hostel. Common area with hammocks was great too. Downstairs there is a little shop. They also serve lunches which were delicious!

We really liked the location and the place. It's perfect to calm down from the stressful life in Cartagena. The food was simple but really good. It was very easy to get in connection with other travellers - like a little family. The sunsets every evening were amazing! The owner explanes a lot of the history of this island - but he only speaks spanish (and the rest of the staff too) that made the communication a little bit difficult. They offer tours directly from the hotel - they are great but also only spanish. We had great, calming days at Dahlandia!

Exceptional stay that exceeded my expectations. The staff is very friendly, the food is of good quality, and the location is particularly interesting as located on one of the most dense island in the world. There are quite a few activities (snorkeling, plancton, island tours) proposed at a fair price. Expect to be awaken by the roosters in the morning if you do not use the noise pads provided by the hostel. And the locals love to party ;)

It’s so nice and quiet! I felt very well taken care off, and had a beautiful view from my room. I don’t think it look like it on the pictures, but it was also right on the beach! Just bring shoes for the water🙏🏼 They have some lovely small dogs

A little slice of paradise! Acuarimantima is a house literally built on the sea so you are surrounded by the Caribbean waters. It is a very beautiful and relaxing spot to completely unwind. We loved sitting on the sundeck, in the hammocks, on our terrace... I've never felt so lazy and relaxed!!! The water is gorgeous for swimming and it was great to be able to venture out in one of the kayaks and visit the local beach on Tintipan. The staff are incredible - so friendly and helpful. They were happy to organise trips to the other islands, beaches or to see the plankton (we were feeling too lazy!).The food was absolutely excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and varied and the menu for lunch and dinner is simple but excellent, with fresh fish delivered to the island according to your order! The fish in coconut was amazing, as was the ceviche. Soooo good! And reasonably priced too. The facilities are quite basic (not much fresh water for showering for example) but who cares when you are in SUCH a special place and where you can slip into the sea to cool off and wash away your troubles. We absolutely loved it and would 100% recommend.

What went well? The staff were very friendly, and were very accommodating to me during my stay e.g. speaking english or translating. The grounds and surrounding views of Hotel Isla Mucura are well cared for and very pretty. The rooms were clean and well cared for/nicely decorated. Good air-conditioning. However, this picturesque hotel and island is not the most relaxing due to loud music being played on the grounds and in neighboring areas.

Mucura Club was an all round brilliant stay and such good value for money. The staff we so accommodating and couldn’t do more for you. Happy hour had a big range of cocktails and activities to do on side and off site. A very chilled vibe and we really enjoyed our time on the little beach 🏝️ Daniel was brilliant and have us an excellent introduction and was always on hand via WhatsApp if we needed anything. They have little kayaks you can take out around the island and the bioluminescent plankton tour which was great.

We stayed there for 3 nights, and had a great time. Even though the weather was harsh, and we couldn't do the nauticas activities (I think it's kind of rare, there was a red alert ongoing that week), we still enjoyed the dancing classes, and yoga courses activities in a wonderful setup. Other than that the hotel is very beautiful, it has a kind of "club med" vibe meaning that you end up spending quite a lot of time in the hotel infrastructures and maybe getting to know some of the other people staying there.

Isla Mucura is truly an amazing experience. We booked a bungalow on the beach and we had our private little beach (south facing) with a stunning sunset every day. We stayed in many bungalow like hotels in Colombia but this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable one. I had great contact with one of the staff members Estefaní, she was lovely and organized a late check out.

We booked to stay over Christmas and had a lovely time. The location is gorgeous and only 2 hours by boat from Cartagena. We stayed in one of the deluxe bungalows on stilts which was amazing and exceeded expectations. Delicious cocktails! All the staff are very friendly.
