Fantastic place, high standard (furniture, bed, shower etc) with amazing view, room and pool area. The hostess, Marie, took very well care of us, providing a welcome tray with drinks, fruits and pasteries), and an excellent breakfast (best we had in CR). This is such a chill place, the only thing we heard was the Ara parrots flying by. I give this place my highest recommendations.

Wauw!! What an amazing place! Located on a hill with views of the forrest towards the sea. Big spacious room which was perfect for us (family of 4) Staff was very friendly. Tarcoles, was for us a stop on our way to Manuel Antonio, but the place is definitely worth staying more nights.

The staff was very nice, kind, and helpful. The food was very good (authentic Italian pizza). We had the breakfast included. We chose the traditional bf and it was delicious and generous. The accommodation (villa) included an outdoor bathroom and was really nice. Lots of wildlife on premise, in particular many birds.

Common area/Restaurant is very nice, you can see animals and enjoy the view while eating. Food is delicious. Quiet area in nature if you want a peaceful stay. Pool is also available.

After 3 months backpacking and sleeping in cheap accommodations, we decided to go above budget and booked the Birding Lodge. It was worth every penny. We cooled down by the pool, observed scarlet macaws and capuchin monkeys, enjoyed fantastic sunset views, gazed at starry skies and slept peacefully. Furthermore, we were able to walk to Carara and the crocodiles bridge. Federico and Alba were very welcoming and, knowing we will come/leave by bus, they picked us and dropped us to the bus stop on the main road. Fast WiFi and free coffee.

Wonderful place for birding. It had its own lookout tower that looked out over the valley to the sea. Having also stayed in the Cerro Lodge next door, we rated this far, far higher. Host was fantastic. Swimming pool was great. Terrific experience.

Started great with the check in process. We were arriving late so we had to check in without a person there, but we got pictures of where to go and different instructions. The hut was great beeing spacious, a good private kitchen a nice bathroom and three comfortable beds. The view in the morning was amazing, calm and we felt like we were in a sort of paradise. The pool and out doors area looked fantastic and great places to relax and enjoy the view. The breaks was also good. Wished we could stay there longer.
