Two nights stay in the town of Cotacachi during Inti Raymi was magnificent. The hostel, combined with a brewery, was our home from home, just seven minutes walk from the plaza. Comfortable, secure, with an outdoor common area to relax and enjoy the cats and dogs, and the beer. Our room was big with a very comfortable bed and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed many conversations with Roger and Melena, both so helpful. We should have stayed longer.

I really loved the quietness of the location. Inside the studio apartment was amazing. Extremely comfortable bed, cooker and fridge with all utensils provided. I cooked 2 meals a day here with ease and enjoyment. My view out my window was volcano Imbabura. Lovely family living next door who own the place and they really look after the place. They have a lovely family dog and cat. The water in the shower provides strong pressure and always hot water available. There is also a blender in the kitchen for making smoothies. Highly recommend. I stayed 4 nights.

We had absolutely great time, evenings by the fireplace in the room after a nice dinner in the hotel's restaurant—mornings in their swimming pools. The staff is gorgeous, they bring little treats and are always there if you need anything. The room is big, there is a big comfortable bed and they give you hot water bottles for the night since it gets chilly in this mountain region. That little town where the hotel is - is quite cute and a very safe place to be.

Loma Wasi was an AMAZING place. My husband and adult son enjoyed a wonderful evening and morning in the company of Mercedes and her family. She gave us a tour of her beautiful vegetable and flower garden (with the help of our guide who translated) and prepared a delicious simple dinner. We slept comfortably with the farm noises nudging us awake early the next day to enjoy the eggs and pancake breakfast. We will be talking about this one night for a long time. Remarkable.

It's difficult to pick just one thing that we liked because the Hacienda San Isidro de Iltaqui was extraordinary in so many ways! We loved the hacienda's ambiance, the farm fresh food was delicious, and the hosts offered attentive, personal, old world hospitality that will bring us back. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The staff was very kind, even when we arrived late at night, the property is newly renovated, the beds, furniture, bathroom, shower and everything looks like new or renovated, there's a great painting at the entry, really beautiful and related to Ecuador. The breakfast was nice, filling and made with fresh food, the location was perfect to arrive or leave by bus, in front is the main road to Quito and a few blocks from there there's the main bus terminal with buses going to almost anywhere in Ecuador, the city centre is at a walkable distance, we went to the artisans market on Saturday, great experience, overall, very recommended place to stay. Great value for the money
