beautiful location, what a amazing B&B! we really enjoyed our stay, everything was great! the breakfast was perfect (the kids thought so too) what a choice, both sweet and savory and lots of it from our own kitchen, pastries, croissants, fresh fruit... delicious! Best breakfast of our holiday. There was a glass of whiskey in the room, but also a bottle of juice and homemade shortbread for the children! you notice that everything has been thought through, the owners want to distinguish themselves and do so in a nice way. It's the little things that stand out and, in our opinion, these are what make this a unique location. sweet, pure and helpful sincere owners who are proud of their beautiful place. always room for a chat and good advice about the area. the rooms are very nice, stylish and spotlessly clean. and congrets with Celtic! recommended! 10/10!!

Lovely little place with high-quality furnishings. Just a short walk from the middle of Ballater but feels quiet and peaceful. The lounge/dining room catches the late afternoon sun and has a view up to the oak woods of Craigendarroch hill. It's quite a small place (the reasonable price reflects this - it's in a 'premium' part of the Highlands) but the quality of the armchair, sofa and dining chairs would put many a grand country hotel to shame and made for a relaxing and memorable stay.

It was situated centrally for travel around the local area. Placed inside a small little Scottish village which was scenic and beautiful. The hotel itself was fabulous and I was very welcomed from the minute I stepped to the front door. It made a huge part of my holiday. Would absolutely stay again in the future. Loved my little road trip up North.

Amazing location and accomodation. Pots very nice, owners very helpful and view from pods is unforgettable. All necessary facilities provided. Be aware that pods are small size, so room for laguage is limited. Whashroom and the snug clean and tidy. - In overall staying here is an amaizing expierience.

We stayed for 3 nights with a Family of 7 (4 adults /3 children) The property is in a fantastic quiet location with views of Craigendarroch Hill out the window and access to many local trails right on the door step, The owner Neil gave us a very warm welcome and couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a good stay, we had his number and knew he was there had we needed anything but the attention to detail within the prep of the property ensure we wanted for nothing.. genuine 10 out of 10 accommodation and owner..

Loved the location, the accommodation was the perfect mix of comfort and wild beauty, the hot tub was amazing perfect temperature and very soothing with great views. Direct access to a lovely walk to the river . A perfect stay for your dog too. Close to lots of stunning locations to explore.

The owners of the Auld Kirk (Helen & Kev) were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast & staff were great. We enjoyed our stay at the Auld Kirk. Certainly one of the be accommodations we had in Scotland.
