This is an exceptionally comfortable, spacious and welcoming property. It is warm and well-furnished. Fixtures and fittings all of a high standard and work well. Great views across the surrounding farmland and then into the hills, and big windows to enjoy them! Helpful host met me with complimentary milk and cakes. Well-organised, explanatory notes around the place. Good wifi, certainly for such a remote location. Good shower, excellent bed. A bunch of acrobatic pied wagtails cavort around the cottage. The geographical 'centre of Scotland' is a couple of miles along the Glen Truim road towards Newtonmore, marked by a big cairn and signage.

Recently renovated, stylish hotel with excellent service and location The entire property has been beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The self check-in via code went smoothly thanks to clear communication in advance, yet it still felt like a personal welcome. Sam was particularly helpful and gave us a great recommendation for a beautiful walk near Fort William, where we stayed at the end of our trip. Breakfast was superb, with a choice between continental and full English options. There are plenty of hiking opportunities nearby, making it a perfect base, and the location is ideal for those walking the East Highland Way. Please note: as of June 2025, the Google reviews still reflect the previous owners and are not at all representative of the current experience. We would absolutely recommend this hotel. A comfortable and peaceful place to fully unwind.

The host was very sympathetic and nice. The room was so comfortable (amazing bed), quiet, beautiful and well equiped. The breakfast was very generous and delicious. We even had vegan and gluten free goodies in the room. There is a great sense of detail.

Our staying at Crubenbeg Country House has been AMAZING! The location is lovely: completely lost in nature yet so close to the main road. The room is spacious and clean, with a stunning view of the outside. The en-suite bathroom is roomy and spotless, with soaps and organic lotions, all made in scotland. The guest lounge is cozy and warm and we had a lovely evening chatting with the host and another guest. Breakfast was hand cooked by Annie and provided traditional and veggie options for a great start of the day. Annie was also kind enough to provide us an itinerary to follow for the next day, which we ended up following closely and had an amazing day out. We would definetely recoment staying here and we're looking forward to come back in the future.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of Newtonmore, a wonderful part of the country. The building the apartment was within was an impressive older stone built house with some fine period features and very attractive. Lots of parking out the front. We had arrived by train but borrowed a small car for the week. A fine entrance lobby and wide ‘stately home ‘ stairs. There was a working lift though, handy as we were on the second (3rd level) floor at the top of the house. We even did a clothes wash in a built in washing machine. A large built in cupboard revealed all sorts of domestic appliances. We found a clothes horse, iron and ironing board. It really was a home from home!
