Staff are amazing, and two in particular. James was like a blue streak in the hotel, running around for 5 guests at once and making it look a breeze.. A stand out customer service type who made the whole stay amazing. No detail was too small for him - he made us feel like we were staying at the Savoy. James, if you are reading this, I expect you to have your own hotel one day. Usayd was a champion of the dining room, and in the morning for breakfast, bewteen James and Usayd - there was nothing but 5 star service and class on display. And the place was CLEAN and I mean CLEAN. Usayd was there on top of the whole experience in the dining room. Overall, GREAT STAY. Hotel is one of the cleanest we ever stayed in. This is a compliment, but I cannot believe this was a Holiday Inn.

Easy to find. Nice welcome staff always very helpful and we had a brilliant breakfast and sleep too. Accommodation was very clean and looked very new, great stay will come again next July for the Arboretum pilgrimage

Good location only a short walk to town center. Close to the cathedral and has easy access to local parks,shops walks and places to eat. Comfortable accomodation, with everything necessary for a short stay at reasonable cost.

It was our first time staying at the Holiday Express group and we were very pleasantly surprised, really comfortable bed and pillows, room was very clean and a really nice breakfast supplied with room tariff, staff very friendly,well done Jack and team 😀 ,oh we also stayed with our 2 tiny dogs which was a bonus !

We haven't stayed in a holiday inn since 1979 then the group was expensive but had very good weekend deals. This new express hotel was wonderful and the staff were really helpful and friendly not to mention being convenient.

This was are first time staying in a holiday inn and it exceeded are expectations as we have always perceived them to be a very basic hotel stay but the room was very clean staff was very helpful and the breakfast was exceptional with a lot of choose.

Great value for money. I have never stayed in a Holiday Inn express before and I didn't have particularly high expectations but I thought it was great for what I needed - comfy, clean place to stay for a night, friendly staff.
