Our host(s) were wonderful. They helped us to feel at home. Wonderful conversation and hooked us up with the longest tenured weaver in Ardara, Mr. Eddie Doherty (who just happens to live across the road.) We visited his shop and were given a demonstration of his weaving. What an amazing process and an amazing gentleman. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful.

Met on arrival, friendly host. Good sized room (family sized booked). Perfectly situated for local walks, bars and places to eat. Breakfast was excellent, self service in your own time and good variety including gluten free bread. Communal coffee / tea area on upper floor was convenient.

We had lovely stay at Hillhead House🥰 Definitely that was our best stay and we loved Donegal and Ardara so much that we will come back for sure!😊 And those amazing breakfasts by Irene…🤤😍 Special porriges with lots of fruit, cinammon, coffee, orange juice and love by Irene. And homemade Irish bread! I can’t stop thinking about those breakfasts and beautiful memories we have🥰 We felt so welcomed🥰 Thank you so much!❤️

Absolutely everything! They had the stove on warming up the house for when we arrived. In the end we had the entire guesthouse to ourselves so impossible to beat that. Views from the living room were amazing! The hosts had recently gone out to get oysters from a nearby farm and offered us as much as we could eat for free! Never have I received such amazing hospitality as that before! Breakfast was included, a mixed continental and with more than we could have eaten. Hosts also work in the tourism industry and have tours around the country so they know what they're talking about! Will 100% be back!

Everything was perfect, so homely and Helen is a diamond. So pleasant and like you knew her all your life. She even had everything you could you would need in your room and that is so thoughtful and not something you see in many B&Bs.

The property is also well equipped with all essentials such as tea, coffee sugar etc which was a really nice touch. The apartment is beautifully decorated and would recommend. John and his wife we're great, they had us tea/coffee milk and scones on arrival, give us good tips and left us to it. And we're extremely helpful wen needed, they're accommodation, was clean,tidy well presented and stocked for our stay,would defo not look by them if visiting this beautiful part of the world again, bars eateries in walking distance and many beaches and towns 10mins either way.

The best accommodation I have stayed in on this trip. Breakfast was superb, freshly baked rolls and other goodies. The hosts were generous and welcoming, the property was warm, comfortable and provided everything you could want. Amazing scenery and location.

Highly recommend Hillhead house. The accommodation was spotless, and very centrally located. The rooms were cosy, yet spacious and were very well furnished with a strong attention to detail to make our stay enjoyable. Irene was a great host, and shared all the local knowledge, while also making sure we were ready for the day ahead with a delicious Irish breakfast, or cinnamon porridge each morning at our chosen time. We would definitely stay again if visiting Donegal.

Breakfast was wonderful. Both Irene and Marco were very accommodating and extremely helpful with points of interest in and around the Ardara, Co. Donegal area. The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable.

Atlantic Lodge was just perfect for our trip to Ardara. Unfortunately our trip was just an overnight on this occasion, maybe next time we will stay longer. The location was perfect for us and absolutely everything we needed was on hand. Lots of choice for the continental breakfast and friendly/informative welcome when we first arrived. This accommodation is very well thought out and could be a model for other B & B businesses else where. Hope we will be back in the future.

This was perfect for our two night stay in Ardara. The room was fairly small but it was very clean, the bed was really comfortable and we appreciated having a fridge right outside our door. I saw one of the larger rooms and it was very nice. The living / common area downstairs beside the kitchen is a nice touch and the location of the accommodation is so handy to everything in the town. It's literally yards from a number of great pubs and places to eat. I would happily stay here again.
