The Wooden Castle is beautiful, and within easy walking distance of the canal and restaurants. I had a lovely room with a big balcony and a very comfortable bed. The family who run this hotel are so friendly and helpful. They booked me an early boat to watch the sunrise and the opening of the water lilies on the canals and lake. It was magical. Then I was fed a huge, delicious home-cooked breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

Fantastic location on the river. Rooms are great. Spacious and very clean. Divya is an excellent host and so super friendly. Organised a great boat trip for us at a good price too. The food was delicious . We stayed two nights and had dinner both nights. The best food so far in India.

Food was exceptional - not only the Indian cuisine but the international dishes too. Staff were very friendly and great with our young kids. Everything was very clean including the pool. Gorgeous views. Had spa treatment too which was very relaxing. Kids playground was great for our kids ages (5, 8) as it wasn't too babyish.

The view from villa 144 was breathtaking and having a pools to swim in right outside my door was like a fairytale. The staff were beyond exceptional from the housekeeping staff to Gloria at the front desk and Mr. Sanjay Varma, manager extraordinaire. These people really know how to treat guests. I am still dreaming about that food and that outdoor shower was Instagram worthy.

Very beautiful place. The family is really welcoming and kind. They organised a boat ride and breakfast for me. Also the view from the balcony is directly on the backwaters where you can see kingfisher and other birds. Very beautiful. The room is very comfortable. Also the dog is super cute and was always ready for a cuddle. Definitely would stay again if i come back

A little castle located by the natural canal in a small hamlet of Kumarakom, is truly a wonderful place to stay. Fully furnished with wood, this cottage has all the amenities for a luxurious stay with a traditional look. The room inside is very neat and clean with everything arranged in perfection. The door of this cottage is very attractive and the brass lamp hung in front which is lit every evening, brings in the traditional vibes and a sense of positivity to this place. There is a nice garden space in front of the cottage overlooking the canal. You can sit here and spend hours watching the canal, boats passing by or just gazing at the water (this is what I loved to do :)). Mr. Vimal, who is one of the main hosts, a very humble and hospitable person, always there to help you and address your needs. In fact, the whole team of Little Chambaka is there to assist you always. Food is not only cooked with perfection but also presented with the same perfection for the guests... They offer you local authentic snacks and fruit drinks in between the meals during your stay here. Little Chambaka has its own Canoe, kayak and Shikara services #CanoeKerala. You can take any of these as per your comfort. Early morning sunrise rides are a must for those who are staying here. The mesmerising view of sunrise in a picture perfect setup of lake with water lilies, birds with the backdrop of coconut trees and their reflection on either sides of the canal...was truly a sight to behold. This is one thing for which I would want to go to Little Chambaka again.

The stay was very comfortable, all the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food and ambiance of the restaurant was really good. overall, it was a really nice experience and thanks for arranging a wonderful stay 😊

It is a beautiful property with a lovely location and accommodation is private. I went with my daughter and we had a great stay. The food is excellent and staff is very accommodating and supportive.

Staff was great! The bedroom I stayed at was great too, but bear in mind that I upgraded it at the hotel. The floor was a bit dirty when I checked in. I asked for it to be cleaned and it was immediately dealt with. There's a mini-fridge in the room. The pool was fantastic! Breakfast and food in general was good. They have a bar with limited selection but it's pretty good for a night drink. No frills.

The pool in the middle of the property and location bang on the lake is the major charm. Very well maintained property. Aesthetic, simple decor. Overall comfortable, relaxing stay in natural environs.

Zuri Kumarakom provided a great vacation stay for the extended family. With 6 adults and 5 kids, all enjoyed the place alike. The staff and their hospitality is the place’s best feature. Rooms are spacious and are well equipped for a family, with all amenities. The Restaurant is great , with delicious cuisines.

We really enjoyed our days staying here. Accommodations are comfortable. Divya and her family welcomed us to their home and we had the opportunity to try different homemade local food which was amazing! They were super helpful and made our time there special. This is a nice rural area, we liked that we could walk around and see the real daily life in the region :)

Coconut Lagoon is the best place in Kumarakom to stay. Perfect location - right on the backwater. You are transported to a world of verdent greenery, blue sky, gorgeous sunsets. the cottages are beautiful. the staff is very attentive andhelpful. I can't think of a better place for a holiday.
