The owner and his brothers did everything to make our stay very enjoyable: They gave us fresh fruit juices at our day of departure when we didn't want breakfast in the early morning and they even grilled some fishes that we brought at no extra cost in addition to the dinner that we ordered. The rooms are clean and spacious and the 3 bungalows are in a small side street with a nice garden, so it's calm and green around. When the neighbour climbed his palm trees to collect coconuts, we also received fresh coconuts for free. The breakfast was rich and they also offered good dinner (a whole fish, prawns or crab). We took the fish for 13 EUR.

Beautiful new boutique hotel on the very quiet Kalkudah Beach. A beautiful setting with gorgeous garden and sea views from every room. Spacious accommodation including a large room and bathroom, and many communal sitting areas. Each room also includes a private terrace or veranda with comfortable furniture. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, with a special mention to the chef Manoj who created beautifully presented, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious food. He catered each meal to our specific requests and dietary needs. It is a wonderful property to stay and relax. It’s worth noting that there’s nothing to walk out to and the town is a bit of a distance, but you will have a lovely time staying and relaxing at this hotel. The beach itself is stunning, the water is calm, clean and warm and its is fringed by palms. Paradise

Excellent apartment. Spacious two bedroom apartment that was spotless. The hosts went out of there way to be of assistance. Would highly recommend due to the location to the beach and restaurants. We did have an issue with the air conditioning and a servicemen arrived within hours to repair

The location is very calm and quiet. The apartment is surrounded by a nice garden. The apartment is very clean and modern. The entire staff took extremely good care of me and has assisted me with any kind of request (from booking a Tuk Tuk/bike, to preparing very reach and tasty breakfast/lunches/dinners). We liked this homestay. You probably need access to transport to get here but it is close to the beach. The upstairs has a couple of en-suite bedrooms, a lounge and dining area and a kitchen with a fridge freezer. Each room has a kettle and tea and coffee. Air conditioning and fan in each room too. Breakfast was $5 per person and included a fried egg, 4 slices of lightly toasted bread, butter and jam, 4 different fruits, water , tea and coffee. Enough for us. The owner was lovely. Great value to stay here

We loved our stay at Adi's Residence. The accomodation is spacious, wel equiped and clean. But most of all we loved the hospitality of mr Ramanathan and mrs Kamalabigaj. They were the friendliest people we met in Sri Lanka (and we met a lot of friendly people).

That this place is set back from the main road which made it very quiet. I also loved the large tree outside the bedroom window. I only stayed here one night to break up a long bus journey, however, the accommodation had everything I needed, the bed was super comfortable and there is a breakfast option for a super low price. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Juda and Amutha were fantastic hosts, so helpful and friendly. We stayed for three nights to explore Batticaloa, where we rented bicycles from the accommodation and were given recommendations for where to explore and where to eat. Beds were comfy, breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean. Highly recommend!!

Juda is very welcoming and friendly! Loved staying here. He provided a delicious breakfast upon request and arranged a bicycle for me to ride around the city, all at an affordable price. Has great recommendations for food and things to do around town. Accommodations are neat and quiet. Great place to stay in Batticaloa! Walking distance to the beach and biking distance to the town.
