Our stay was exceptional. The property is very well maintained and in a lovely garden setting. We were the only guests as it was the off season but the service was still top notch. One of our group was ill for the stay and the staff were very kind and caring, and provided cold compresses, a tonic and dinner to the room for her. The dinner they provided for the group was ample and incredibly tasty. During that we enjoyed hearing about the property, the area and their experiences. This stay felt like a real home away from home thank you!

We loved our stay! Rooms are huge, as well as the bed, and super comfortable. The staff very friendly and the cook excellent. Gabriel and his family are a delight. he helped us at all times and provided us with the info we needed to go on safari. The lodge is very close to Yala Park so it is a must if you plan to visit.

Kataragama Homestay is a really nice and very clean place. It is very good decorated with some chairs outside to chill. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom big and clean. Breakfast was delicious and staff really nice and welcoming!

The room was spacious, with high ceilings and big comfortable queen-sized beds. Everything was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Great value for the price! You can also ask to store your food in the fridge if needed. But what really made our stay special was the amazing hospitality. We arrived a bit late and the owner was very kind to drive us to a nearby restaurant that was still open. He also helped us find a driver to another city late at night and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

I had a memorable stay at the Funky Leopard Safari Lodge. The location is great and the ambience right in the heart of nature is heartwarming. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I was welcomed by Anton with a big smile and felt at home immediately. He was kind and very prompt, attending to my meals, reminding me of the times (😊). The food was well made and delicious. I had the privilege of having dinner at the campsite, by a bonfire. Timirah is a very kind and professional waiter with a perfect sense of timing. I also did a safari in Yala as a solo traveler and was lucky to have Vimansha as my guide. He was kind, attentive and very knowledgeable, which made me feel safe and well cared for throughout the experience. He shared fascinating insights about the park and its wildlife, turning the trip into something truly memorable. Highly recommend him if you want a meaningful safari, not just a drive through the park. Speaking of driving, Geeth was a very skilled driver who did everything to his em reach to make me feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this lodge and would love to come back. I took the night walk around the premises, which was wonderfully guided with high respect for all species. Thank you.

We stayed in a family cottage. Kapila, the owner and his wife are very hospitable and Kapila knows a lot about the wild life in Yala NP. He organised a fantastic safari in Yala block 5 and Lunugamvehera National Park. Almost the whole day we drove without seeing anyone!

Good stay for an early safari tour. We had an excellent tour with lots of fun. Ask for harsha if you want to have a motivated driver with the ultimate goal of seeing a leopard!

We had a great stay. The staff were extremely attentive and made our stay very enjoyable. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the hotel food was fantastic, offering a variety of food options for breakfast and dinner. The hotel also went above and beyond, helping us to arrange a taxi from Ella and a Yala safari, which was the highlight of our whole trip to Sri Lanka. We would definitely recommend a stay at MCR.

A beautiful treehouse in the middle of the jungle. If you like to stay in unique, more adventurous accommodations then this is the place for you. It is comfortable and you fall asleep listening to the sounds of nothing but the nature around. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any questions you’d have. 100% recommend staying here!

The accomodation is like a hotel in the jungle! The best kind of glamping you could ask for. Dinner is brought to your room (whilst the restaurant is under construction) and was some of the tastiest food we’ve had. The hosts will organise a safari tour for you. We picked the full day and breakfast and lunch was catered for us - more than enough food! The accomodation is on the border of Yala National Park and it was amazing to wake up to monkeys in the trees and buffalo in the garden. Highly reccomended a stay here.

Great clean and quiet rooms. Booked with them last minute as our pre-booked accommodation was unsatisfactory and this place was leagues better and for a fraction of the price. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay for a safari.

The Summer Corridor is a nice and quiet place to stay if you want to be close to the Katagamuwa entrance of the Yala national park for a safari. The accommodation was clean and spacious.

The individual houses are located in the forest with a lot of amazing animals and green plants. A rooms are really clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts are extremely kind and polite people, who can arrange a jeep safari in the Yala National Park if you need. With the delicious dinner in the garden was an unforgettable experience for me staying here and it was my favorite accomodation during our three weeks in Srí Lanka. (out of 8)
