We stayed at this resort and spa for a few days at the end of our holidays in Mauritius, and it was the perfect place to unwind. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We were also lucky to join the sunset cocktail on our first evening, which was a beautiful start to our stay. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and great quality. We also joined some of the activities, such as snorkeling and a Body Balance class, which added to the experience. In the evenings, we enjoyed the bar, the music, and on our last night we had a great dinner at the Rum Shed.

Tamassa Resort was exactly what we were looking for. We loved our stay! Our room had a beautiful view overlooking one of the pools with the ocean beyond. The room itself was spacious, with a comfortable bed, double sinks, a bathtub, and a separate shower. The food was excellent throughout our stay. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and appreciated the variety in the dinner buffet. We tried à la carte once on lobster night, and it was definitely worth the 4000 MUR (plus a 20% discount). The beach area was stunning—possibly the best we’ve experienced. It’s surrounded by a coral reef that breaks the waves before they reach the shore, making the water perfect for snorkeling, paddle boating, kayaking, and more. We chose the half-board package, which was the right decision for us. We also rented a car through the hotel (via their partner) for a couple of days. The process was easy, and the rental was very affordable. All in all, 5/5!

The best thing in our trip to Mauritius, was definitely the stay in Residence au bout du Morne. Our hosts were outstanding, very helpful and full of hospitality. Meals served in Residence tasted delicious. Facilities were clean and cozy. There was AC in the room and a parking space in front of a house. The bathroom was brand new. You have also access to refrigerator. Definitely worth it.

I highly recommend this place. The owner is an incredibly kind and helpful person. he helped me organize several trips and put me in touch with people who offer services such as kitesurfing. He also recommended great places where I could enjoy really good food. The apartment is very well equipped, with a kitchen, air conditioning and a bathtub. Everything was clean and comfortable. As a solo traveler, I felt very well taken care of and completely at ease here. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling alone.
