So Terneuzen isn’t exactly tourism central, and while I’d probably give the hotel a little less praise if located elsewhere, it’s the absolute best in Terneuzen. - the rooms are spacious, opt for superior rooms for that extra comfort - the staff is very nice - the location is good, for Terneuzen, which doesn’t really have hotels downtown. It’s closest to downtown out of all the available options on booking (hotel ones, there are a few apartments closer). And the walk to downtown is very pleasant, along the seafront - be warned, a charming, but surprising thing on that route is locals greet each other (and you) when they pass, so prepare to say “hallo” a lot on a sunny day :) - the hotel has a nice restaurant if you don’t want to walk the 15 minutes downtown. It has a variety of choice and is quite cheap for a hotel restaurant. - there is also a supermarket like 100m from the hotel, at present it looks like a building site, as they are rebuilding it (August 2023) but don’t make my mistake from the first day, it’s there, in a temporary building in the back. - buses to Middelburg, Ghent, Goes etc stop near the hotel

Larger room than we expected, comfy bed and bedding. Lighting was terrible though, only a couple of side lights, no central light. The receptionist was excellent, she worked so hard as the check-ins were non stop and she was on her own. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful. There was a supermarket within walking distance.

Mireille ensured that we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. Both heating and cooling ensured we were always comfortable. The location is in the centre of the old town, the charm cannot be described and must be experienced!

The Churchill is a classic, modern business hotel that is very functional but also very anonymous. My room was a good size, functionally albeit minimally furnished, it was clean, the bathroom was fine and my room was on the quiet side of the building. Staff were friendly and helpful, although at times clearly inexperienced. It is convenient to have a restaurant attached to the hotel, breakfast was good and parking is free. If you just want a straightforward place to stay for the night then the Churchill is for you.

Hello, overall my stay was good. I found the staff to be very helpful; I forgot my charger at the hotel and contacted them a few days later, and they had found it and sent it to me right away. Communication with them was very smooth and quick. This was a big plus for me, as I haven't experienced the same level of service at other hotels I've stayed at.

The layout of the ship worked well. I liked the fact this is very much a home as well as a b&b, the owners went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Full of local knowledge and tips, they also asked my opinion of various places I dined in, so they could share with future guests.

I always dreamed of staying on a boat and this was the perfect place for it. The room was bigger than expected, very quiet and comfortable. The hosts were nice, the place cozy and very clean, loved the dogs and the joint breakfast. Location is excellent, parking available right there.
