Jolanda was very hospitable and helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and was separate from the main house. The bathroom was a good size and reached by going through the 'snug'; a seating area with a sofa and TV. The main room had the kitchenette, table & chairs & bed with access to a balcony overlooking the garden & hills behind with table & chairs for al fresco dining! Although on the main SH 1, it was a haven of peace when we stayed!

Taihape is a small town and we were very happy to find a nice place to stay. Jolande and Daniel are great hosts and we felt welcome from the first minute. The accommodation is great, the bed is comfortable and there is a nice TV room and spacious bathroom. Breakfast (of our choice) was included and Jolande makes a yummy home-made sourdough bread. In short walking distance are the famous gumboot for selfies and a fantastic steak restaurant, you will not regret to visit.

We loved everything!! The room was super spacious and clean. We spent two nights and didn't want to leave. Unfortunately they were booked out so we had no choice but to say farewell. We look forward to staying here again when we need a holiday away from the city life.
