The host was incredibly kind and helpful from the very start. She picked us up from the train station, shared thoughtful local tips to help us make the most of our stay, and supported us throughout our trip with genuine care. Her hospitality made all the difference. Without a doubt, if I ever return to Pingyao, I’ll stay here again. 100% recommended!

In de gehele accommodatie is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. locatie was helemaal perfect in hartje van de old ancient town, ontbijt gewoonweg fantastisch en zeker voor Chinese begrippen, hotel mooi en brandschoon en fantastische kamers. Pingyao Hu lu wa Home Inn heeft gratis fietsen, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant in Pingyao. Mooi en authentiek hotel op rustige plek 1 minuut lopen van centrum. Eigenaar spreekt goed Engels en is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Pingyao Jiaxin Guesthouse ligt in Pingyao, op 18 minuten lopen van China Chamber of Commerce Museum, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. Beautiful & relaxing guesthouse with lovely furnishings & only a 10-minute walk to the Ancient City. The woman who managed the guesthouse was so kind, & so helpful with all my questions. It was also a great place for meals - her breakfasts & coffees were the best!

We had a pleasant stay in Pingyao and it was a wonderful experience to sleep in the Pingyao Ji Family Courtyard Inn. You felt like living in former times. We can just recommend it.

Rooms are quiet and minimalist with great water pressure, reliable fast Wi-Fi, plenty of bedside outlets, and strong AC/heat. The bed and linens meet Western comfort standards. Breakfast can be chosen Chinese or Western—I tried both during my stay and each was fresh, well-presented, and generous (fresh juice and good coffee/tea included). Staff were proactive and friendly, arranged luggage pickup from the city gate, and communicated smoothly in English. The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

The owner and his daughter did everything to make us feel at home. The place was really beautiful, our room was cozy and warm. They cooked us breakfast even if we had to leave early in the morning. They were so kind to take us to the train station. If you come to Pingyao this is the perfect place to stay!
