We had an amazing time exploring his village, an Underground church and the bigger city of Al Mina. When staying there, you live with Peters family who are all lovely people. Peter is the only one who speaks English and German and is happy to translate between you and people in his family and village. Or when peter isn't available google translate is also a good option. It might not be for everyone, but for us it was an amazing opportunity to see the real authentic life in an Egyptian village. Thank you Peter!

There is a wonderful restaurant called Orkeed on the floor below the hotel that serves a huge delicious half duck meal - it was so nice not to have to go out and look for a restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Among them, I would like to single out Mr. Hany, from whom, in addition to his excellent courtesy, we also received warm human gestures. The hotel sparkled with cleanliness. There was a wonderful view of the Nile River. We had a hearty breakfast and a tasty dinner. During our stay in Egypt, this hotel was by far the best. Trained and courteous guards take care of the safety of the guests, but at the same time, we did not feel that they restricted our movement in any way. The hotel holds its own in the world as well. I stayed in Switzerland on the shores of Lake Geneva a few years ago in a hotel of a similar size, and now I have to say that the Holy Family Hotel is in no way inferior to the Swiss one.
