This unique 18th-century inn is situated between Winchester Cathedral and the college, tucked away in the quietest corner of the city. The city-centre is a 5-minute walk away. Great place to stay close to the cathedral with parking. For American’s it is a very narrow street with tight parking but people were happy to help us get out. The room was spacious and quiet. Good breakfast.

It’s a great find as there isn’t that much like it in the immediate area. I came upon it by chance and will definitely be going back there when I’m in the area.

The owner left us plenty of little things which made a real difference, including water, cookies, and everything needed in the kitchen. Location was perfect for nice country walks or access to the rest of the area. Loved seeing the ponies and donkeys just across the road.
