There's nothing much to do around Aomori itself but I loved my 3 night staycation at the Dormy Inn. The spa facilities are well maintained and top notch. Yes it's further away from the Aomori station but if you are coming from the airport, just take an airport limousine bus and get dropped off at Kencho-dori bus stop, right by the hotel! Going back is just right across the other side! Super convenient!
