Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. Amazing experience in a traditional style with a modern comfort. The hotel is located in a quiet place ~20 mins walk from the ferry port. It may sound far but the hotel provides the shuttle bus as often as you need. We were prepared for the ryokan rules about the shoes, so it wasn’t a surprise for us. The traditional room is very beautiful, clean, looks better in real life than on the pictures. Nice view from the window, I even saw an eagle on the tree. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. Usually the staff set up the bed after the dinner but they set it up for me when I asked for a day nap. The dinner and breakfast servings is extraordinarily. Nice choice of exclusive souvenirs, especially loved the Momiji manju cookies, the ones from the hotel are MUCH better than the ones from the shopping street. In general, I highly recommend to stay here at least for 1-2 night for better exploration of Miyajima without rush.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Incredible staff, they were very helpful! The rooms are big, and you even get a Japanese style greeting.

Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. This was our favorite hotel in Japan! We stayed only one night to get to see the island of Miyajima a bit more, and staying here was such a nice experience. In particular, the dinner at the hotel was so special and delicious! You need to message them to make the reservation some days in advance, but they were always very responsive. The facilities of the hotel were really great: the public baths, the rooftop terrace, the footbath café. Finally, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Great location in Miyajima, close to the ropeway and temples, short walk from the ferry (with a shuttle available) The staff was spectacular, the suite with the open air bath was gorgeous. It's my second time staying there and I'll be back.

This recently renovated apartment is located 700 metres from Itsukushima Shrine and 1.1 km from Daisho-in Temple. The property is non-smoking and is set less than 1 km from Momijidani Park. The host was kind and welcoming and the amenities were perfect. The house is beautiful and cozy with a mix of traditional and modern touches. The most comfortable sleep I had during my entire Japan vacation!

With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The great Torii is 600 metres away and Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall is 800 metres from the guest house. The property is a traditional Japanese house, typical of the Miyajima region. Beautifully preserved and with contemporary furniture that they managed to combine in an extraordinary way. The house is very small, so it has only one room, this makes you practically rented not a room, but the house complete with your own Japanese interior garden, its doors of Japanese paper, by the way very beautiful. They place incense, which gives it a very pleasant atmosphere. An extraordinary experience to rest in a Ryokan in a magical destination. Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

The air-conditioned apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a kettle, and 1 bathroom with a bath and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the apartment. The accommodation is non-smoking. Huge (for Japanese standard), comfortable, great location, Japanese style. Owner responds immediately to any enquires. Just great.

Dinner was great, everyone was so nice and help whenever was needed. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend booking dinner and breakfast. Gorgeous views. Lots of snacks in the hotel lobby, relaxing places to wait for checkin and out. Walk to everything - food, ferry, temple and gates. Wonderful ambience. Don't just catch the ferry for the day - stay on the island It's unforgettable.
