The hostel offers hot-spring baths, free Wi-Fi and 3 lounges. Staying in a traditional ryokan house was an unforgettable experience that I recommend to anyone traveling in Japan. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and their fluent English was a pleasant bonus. We tried the local onsen, which was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is simple, as expected from the traditional style, and all the amenities were completely sufficient. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. I highly recommend it and thank you for a fantastic stay!

The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

We got hot spring water outdoor footbath and indoor bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with complete appliances. Our bedroom is comfortable with hot, cold, and dry air conditioner. Overall, the place is neat and clean. We easily went to Mount Omuro, izu shaboten zoo, and lake ippeki as day trip from the place. It is located 2 minutes walk from the Usami train station.
