Everything was great - the location is perfect, very close to the lake (with a shortcut to the beach) and to the red canyons on the other side. It’s right on the road, so it’s easy to reach by public transport (from Bishkek). The yurt is beautifully decorated inside and very cozy. The staff is a lovely family, which made it feel like staying with friends. I was lucky to have great weather. but if it’s colder, the yurts are equipped with heaters to keep you warm I‘d definitely recommend this place!

Nice place to stay with options for yurt style tent or standard room with bathroom. Breakfast was good with different selection each day and also nice dinner provided for extra fee. This is recommended as there are no standalone restaurants in Tong. A short walk to one of the beaches. Also buy some supplies for a stay in Tong as there are no nearby shops.

Dmitry is an amazing host. I felt like I was visiting my extended family. The location is perfect, next to the park with all kinda arts and proximity to the beach. Hot springs are just a 15-minute walk. The garden he tends to is exceptional, I fell in love with the trees. The room is cozy and clean and has heated floors! Almost futuristic for Kyrgyzstan.

I really enjoyed my stay at Zaton Guesthouse. It’s perfectly located in the park and right by the shore of Issyk Kul. The owners are very friendly and happy to share their knowledge about the area, including its sights and history. My room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious and hearty. If I ever return to Cholpon-Ata, I’ll definitely stay at Zaton again.

Great location and very friendly hosts. Besides garden to hang out. Host also helped to organize a taxi to Satzka Canyon.
