One of the best experiences I have had in all my travels. The hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly, polite, and experienced. The hotel has a great atmosphere. It is clean, stylish, and has free bicycles. There is a great breakfast with a variety of breads. They keep asking if there is anything missing. They are very kind. If I come to Nur Eliya again, I will definitely stay only at this hotel.

S and D Home Stay ligger 4,3 km fra Gregory Lake Nuwaraeliya. Overnatningsstedet har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Hakgala Botanical Garden ligger 11 km fra det private indkvarteringssted. Sun mount adams peak har en god beliggenhed i centrum af Nallathanniya og har en terrasse og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Great location for the walk up Adams Peak. The staff were very helpful with a good local place to eat and timings on when to start walking. Also great breakfast in the morning and they allowed for a slightly later check out which wasn’t needed but good to know.

Absolutely everything. Krishna is an amazing host. From the moment my husband and I arrived we were treated with so much warmth and he made us feel at home. The room is spacious with a private bathroom, and there is also a common area to chill or have food. The location is great because at night time it is super quiet and we slept super well. No noises no disturbance. It is just a little walk to town, but nearby there are great coffee shops and restaurants. I would love to add something else I think is very important. Unfortunately on our second day in Nuwara, Ditwah cyclon came over and devastated the whole country. We couldn't continue our trip and had to stay in Nuwara. Thanks to Krishna hospitality we had a roof to stay warm and safe, we had homemade food and someone who kept us informed and protected. So I can only be grateful to have met this wonderful person and to share time with him. He went beyond and above to make my husband and I feel comfortable. His generosity and hospitality will always be one of the best memories I had of Sri Lanka. There are no words to express my gratitude. All I can tell is this is maybe not a fancy hotel, but it is the best accommodation you could stay in Nuwara because the people in charge are truly amazing. By the way, his wife and his little baby are so friendly too, and we were very happy to meet them. Thank you!!!!

A quiet, very nice place close to the forest, but only about a 10 mins walk from the city. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the shower was the best! There's a shared kitchen at the guests disposal, and there are nice, big common spaces. Our host, Madusanka, was really helpful, very attentive and very nice. He carried my daughter to the car when she wasn't feeling well, he asked our driver to stop at the pharmacy, and he even messaged me afterwards to ask how my daughter was doing. Thanks for your help! He keeps the house in order and running it very well. Highly recommend this place!

The Best Homestay in Nuwara Eliya – A True Local Experience! This family-run homestay gave us the most authentic and heartwarming experience of Sri Lankan hospitality. Our room was spotlessly clean and cozy, with an absolutely charming flower-filled balcony that made sunrise magical. Our host, Sanjaya, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He was so welcoming and caring, taking us to a gems shop and patiently waiting while we explored, helping us find perfect jackets, bringing us to amazing local restaurants, and showing us around Nuwara Eliya. The next morning after serving us a delicious homemade breakfast, he kindly drove us to the train station himself. What makes this place truly special is how the whole family makes you feel at home. If you want more than just accommodation but a genuine cultural experience with the kindest hosts, don't look further. Our highest recommendation! ✨

Shevyhaws ligger i Nuwara Eliya, 3,8 km fra Gregory Lake Nuwaraeliya og 11 km fra Hakgala Botanical Garden. Her er en have og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.
