The location, the cleanliness, the pool... But the best thing was the attitude of Thilak (who clearly is the boss), his son, and his entire staff. They arranged transport from our previous accommodation and to our next accommodation. They also took us to safari with their own jeep. As for food - the breakfast, as well as dinner, was delicious. The dinner is a rice&curry buffet with spicy and non-spicy options. For lunch, there are several soups and sandwiches available. We were traveling with a picky 4yo, so this was a lifesaver.

Exceptional facilities and amazing 5 star staff for low price. The hotel manager and his wife as well as the rest of the personnel have been exceptionally kind to us during our day. I arrived sick and they kindly brought me to the doctor, made me rice porridge and juice to recover. We ended up staying one night more and arranged us to stay in the same room. I got a bit better the day after and was able to do the elephant safari that the manager kindly organized for us. Finally he arranged a car to ella at a good price as well. The room was very clean and well furnished, the pool was clean and new and we could see a bunch of animals in the trees nearby. The food cooked was also delicious. Would definitely recommend you to stay there !!!

What an absolute stunning place! The cottages are beautiful, so comfortable, from the huge bed, to the super clean bathroom and the terrace invites you to sit and relax in the middle of the most beautiful garden. The owner greeted us with a welcome drink and even organised milk for our baby late at night when we arrived. It looks amazing in the pictures and even better in real! Best accommodation we had during our trip in Sri Lanka! This place deserves the best rating ever!

The people are super friendly, accommodating and helpful! They also helped me book a safari spontaneously, which worked out very well! From breakfast to dinner everything was perfectly organized and the food was delicious! Also the room was great for a low price! Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net, there was hot water and air conditioning. I can highl recommend the accommodation and would definitely come again!

Leel’s Safari Cottage ligger i Udawalawe, 12 km fra Udawalawe Nationalpark, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. The property is in a beautiful setting. The room was a good size with a lovely bathroom as well as a nice outside porch area to sit and watch the wildlife. Leel was super helpful and was there for every need. His family make good authentic Sri Lankan food (but can also tone down the spice level if needs like us!). Leel arranged a safari for us and we saw loads of wildlife, including lots of elephants.

Jansen’s Bungalow Sinharaja Rainforest Retreat ligger i Kudawe og har en have, terrasse, en restaurant og bar. Her er roomservice og en døgnåben reception samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Such a lovely hotel, everything is even more beautifull in real life than in the pictures. Everything was very clean. And the surroundings are also stunning. The hotel is very close to the Kudawa entrance of the rainforest, where you can hire an official guide for 2500 LKR (entrance is 1250 LKR pp). The overall experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.
