We had a wonderful visit. The resort is located immediately outside the National Park, so the location is perfect. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The area is quiet and you can hear the birds and the jungle sounds (we even heard an elephant!) The resort is family run and the host, his wife and two sons were very friendly and helpful. The meals were good and (very) plentiful. We enjoyed a safari in the park with the host and there are walking paths on the lake outside the park where we saw lots of birds. Overall a great experience.

Loved this place. Roshan is the best host and did everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Prior to arrival he assured us that they could cater for one of our party who is vegan and also arranged a full-day safari for us. We had a large family room which was immaculate with great facilities. Each night, Roshan's wife cooks an incredible buffet for the guests, all freshly prepared with a huge choice. The food was amazing and Roshan and his family made our stay memorable.

The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The food was great. They make the best safari tours and we felt that they are much better than the other operators. The vehicles are perfect for photographers and wildlife lovers and the guides are very knowledgeable and will do the impossible so you don't miss your chance at seeing leopards, bears and elephants. Highly recommend

We had a great time at this guesthouse in Wilpattu - not far from the National Park. Great to meet Roshan and his team; they really try to fulfill all of your wishes and more. A very warm welcome and time with them. Food was excellent !! and such a big variety; thanks also for arranging our Safari with an experienced guide. You can see monkeys at the edge of the property, there are friendly dogs, ducks... cows around when you go for a walk. Mangoes growing on top of your bungalow...

There are a number of activities and excursions available, or you can simply relax on your veranda up in the trees. There are a number of chill out zones.

The room was built well, spacious and had a great AC. From the room windows we were able to spot animals like monkeys and squirrels, and we saw plenty of birds in the area as well. The staff were AMAZING. Super helpful and nice, always available for questions and explanations about the wildlife. We booked the safari tour from the hotel and it was great decision - they provided us with great food and we were accompanied by Shantha, a guide from the hotel, who was friendly, professional and thanks to his knowledge we were able to see two different leopards in two different days. We recommend asking for the tour with him.

We were looking into a nice place to do the Wilpattu tour, this one is very close to the park, so you don't have to wake up as early as some other towns. Overall the lodges are relatively new, it's owned by a cute local couple and they are putting a lot of heart in this business. The owner is nice and sometimes just sits and chats with you. Breakfast and dinner is served there as no restaurants are within walking distance, as this place is mainly to do the Safari, which they offer too through a different company. We took it through them and didn't regret it, everything is organized well and you get not only a driver but a guide too that explains and spots all the animals for you. The lodge owner also brings you to a walk around the nearby houses and farms, good way to feel more comfortable. Overall I recommend it, and he even has more ideas to upgrade things, it will only get better! :)

We were always very well looked after and Suga and all staff took great care of us and were very kind. We loved the location, very peaceful, in the middle of the jungle and very beautiful! The staff prepared amazing dinner and breakfast for us - quality food and very big portions! Suga organised a half day safari for us and it was smooth and we had a great time even in the rain. The room was beautiful and comfortable, we loved looking out to the trees from the room.
