Yakaduru is renowned for its architecture and tourism, where guest can stay in properties built by Mud and palm thatched roofing. Yakaduru Yala runs on renewable energy sources, and features free WiFi, on-site parking and a barbecue facility. Our stay was excellent. The staff were eager and happy to accomodate all our requests. Kirula in particular really helped us with his service. The location was perfect - right at the doorstep of the national park. Would love to go back here.

Amazing wildlife roaming around, super clean and the owner was so lovely and helpful. He cooked us dinner both nights which was so so nice and also washed our clothes for us. Madu also organized an amazing safari experience for us. Highly recommend this place, and we can't wait to return soon!

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and cared for - the staff really want to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is evident in the facilities - air con, good fans, filtered water in the room, mosquito nets (even though there weren’t many mosquitos), a fridge, a hair dryer, adapters to suit every country’s appliances. My favourite - bicycles. This allowed us to ride around town - a thoroughly enjoyable way to see the place. We did an afternoon safari and managed to see a sloth bear! Along with so many other animals - many elephants, crocodiles, deer, bird species, mongoose, jackals, goannas (probably forgetting a lot here). The leopard eluded us. My husband and I have been on safari in Africa so we thought maybe we’d be underwhelmed - but it was awesome. The pool was great for my kids. The temperature was just right. Breakfast was tasty and very generous, and the place has such a peaceful outlook over the rice fields. All of this for such good value. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a lovely stay.

Word cannot express how grateful we are to Nalin and Isharni for welcoming us into their home during Sinhalese New Year. Staying at Black Panther Yala was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was such a special weekend where we learnt/ate traditional food (e.g. oil cake), participated in the rituals and traditions and met the neighbours and relatives. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. Dinner included is such a rare treat. The location is lovely, set next to the wetlands. You can borrow bike and ride around the area. We did a safari through a driver that our host recommended and it was amazing. I would highly recommend Black Panther to anyone!

Hilton Yala Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Yala. 21 km from Situlpawwa and 22 km from Tissa Wewa, the property provides a terrace and a bar. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. Everything was excellent, from the facilities to the restaurant. The pool water also seemed to be properly filtered, and none of us—including the children—had any stomach issues. The Ayurvedic spa massage was also excellent. We had a wonderful experience with both the beach walk and the safari tour. We were lucky enough to see elephants, though the leopard didn’t make an appearance. Even so, we truly appreciated how the ranger kept searching deep into the park until the very end. The dishes prepared by the head chef, who kindly came to greet us at our table on the first night, were absolutely delicious! For breakfast, I had GM Sri Lanka every single day. It’s a hotel I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you so much! The clean-up activity in the national park was also a really enjoyable experience.

The tent was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere in the heart of nature. The staff were absolutely amazing – so kind, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The highlight of the evening was the delicious vegetarian dinner, which was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, it was a perfect blend of adventure and comfort, with excellent service and great food. Also the jeep provided for the safari was very comfortable, making the whole trip even more enjoyable .
