The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. I stayed here for four days with my friend and we had a truly wonderful experience. Prakash joined us for a jungle safari and proved to be a highly experienced wildlife guide—we spotted many animals rhino ,tiger thanks to his knowledge. paharu make delicious meals every day using fresh ingredients from their organic garden. He kindly made extra vegetarian food to suit my diet and even prepared packed lunches for our jungle trekking. The bungalow was cozy, with a clean bathroom, hot shower, and free Wi-Fi. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Prakash and his brother baba also helped us arrange transportation, including an overnight bus back to Kathmandu. Communication was easy, and he genuinely cares about making his guests feel comfortable. In the evenings, he even organized a campfire for us. The area feels safe and there is plenty to see and explore nearby. We would definitely love to come back again.

Set in Bhurkīā, Nanu's Bardiya Homestay offers accommodation with a patio. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. All rooms are equipped with a terrace with views of the garden. We stayed at Nanu’s homestay for a week and I can’t imagine a better experience in Bardia! Nanu and the family are incredibly kind people, and we felt deeply cared for the entire stay — would HIGHLY recommend staying with Nanu’s family. Safari experience: We were hoping to see a tiger, and went on two full-day walking safaris, a full day jeep safari, and several sunset/sunrise safaris with Nanu. A lof of patience & luck is needed to spot big animals, but Nanu pulled out all the stops to try to help us find wildlife, and in the end we were treated to rhino, leopard, gharial, and tiger sightings!!! Nanu is very invested in helping guests have the best experience possible — he even organized a sunrise safari on the day of our departure as a last-chance effort to see a tiger, which succeeded! Homestay experience: The family homestay environment is what truly made Bardia so special for us. Kali, Nanu’s wife, is extremely kind and welcoming, and is an excellent chef. She’s also a certified nature guide and does some junior guiding with Nanu, which is incredibly cool in a park with few female guides. Their sons are very involved with guests, and they have a sweet dog as well. The family is happy to help with arrival/departure logistics as well. Rooms: We stayed in the king room and had a big bed with a mosquito net & fan (though we didn’t need either in November), electrical outlets in the room, and a private attached bathroom with hot water. We also had a front porch with wicker chairs to relax in, and there’s a shaded communal eating area for guests & family. Be aware that the rooms are a bit rustic (screens rather than windows, some geckos/insects, etc.) but that’s to be expected for a homestay in Bardia! Value: Unbeatable value, which comes across in every aspect of the experience. We spent ~$200 USD per person for six nights at the homestay, including room, food, and many safaris with Nanu.

With city views, Bardiya Eco Safary Homestay is set in Bhurkīā and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation provides a balcony. The homestay also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. My stay at Bardiya Eco Safary Homestay was nothing more than exceptional! Since before my arrival to Bardiya, Mukti was making sure through what's app that I knew how to arrive at Bardiya since I was crossing from the west border from India to Nepal. The moment I arrived I was received with so much kindness by Renuka (Mukti's wife) and he's mother with a beautiful little Hindu greeting. Showed me to my room which was clean, spacious, with its own attached bathroom and a beautiful view from the garden outside. In the beginning I booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 8 days because of how amazing and loving everything in the homestay was. From the delicious cooking of Renuka to the incredible hospitality of all members of Mukti's family. They make you feel like family. I did 3 jungle walks. Because my main purpose was to be lucky enough to see a tiger in the wild! And I can say (with a big smile while writing this) that Mukti made my DREAM (since I was 6 years old) come true! I was able to see a majestic tiger drinking water on my first jungle walk! Not just that but spotted rhinos, many kinds of birds, otters hunting for a snake and many more fauna inside the national park. All of these was possible due to Mukti's incredible knowledge of the place and animals. And this is just one of all the incredible things I experienced at Bardiya Eco Safary Homestay! Everyday I ate delicious traditional and organic Nepalese food. Everything is grown in the homestay garden. They even make their own paneer! Oh how I miss Renuka's delicious food! We played cards every night, enjoying great conversations about Nepalese culture and about life in the terai region...Learned how to make momos from scratch. Went around town to experience the local life. And even did a little ride at night around the town with Mukti's nephew in which we were lucky enough to spot a leopard crossing the street!!!

At the hotel, each room includes a balcony with a garden view. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower, free toiletries and slippers.

The area is popular for fishing and cycling, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. An authentic gem on the edge of Bardia National Park! The staff of this family-run lodge is very friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and based on the vegetables they grow in their own garden, and it is very well located in a quiet area. Anil, who speaks English, French and Hindi, even helped me organise two safari days in the jungle. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and affordable place to stay close to Bardia National Park.

Set in Bardia, Sunsetview Safari Lodge offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a bar.

There is a private bathroom with shower in all units, along with a hairdryer and slippers. The Sunsetview is one of the best places I have ever stayed in - quiet, serene, and beautiful. It is located in front of the Elephant Breeding Centre in Bardiya, and is a walking distance from the river, where you can see the elephants bathing on their way back from the jungle to the breeding centre. The short trail from the property to Thakurdwara - the nearest town - is straight out of a Ruskin Bond story, with a sparkling creek and countless, towering trees to give you company. The property is hosted by Pramesh and Noémie, who are wonderful hosts - kind, caring, and always up for a conversation. The food cooked by Chef Amrit is delicious and homely. And thanks to Aneet, our stay in Sunsetview was seamless and extremely comfortable.

The units at the accommodation come with a seating area. My husband and I are our breakfasts every morning and we're outside, weather permitting. The food is made to order and our coffee is brought out as soon as we sit down. We are vegetarians and LOVE Hira's Kitchen! The staff are very accommodating. Also, the guided jungle Safari was amazing!
