The experience itself is really cool, but you need to put on a lot of clothes because it is going to be cold. You will never forget the water bottle.

With city views, Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family is situated in Amantani and has a restaurant and luggage storage space. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy views of the mountain and lake. Richar, Lucrezia and Isabella are very lovely people and very generous hosts. Richar told us about the island and showed us around, Lucrezia’s cooking is truly wonderful and Isabella is a very nice girl, who would play cards with us in the evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a hot shower and it’s an easy walk from the port of Amantani. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil, a perfect rest. At night the stars are magestic with Milky Way visible with naked eye. I would highly recommend staying at Richar’s place to experience the magic of the island in its authenticity. Also, from what I’ve read it is much better for the families who live on the island to book a stay directly with them rather than through an agency.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. First off, what a magical experience this stay was from the people to the views to the room! Walter and his family really made this stay so special, they are the kindest people ever! From the moment we arrived they treated us with such care and love, Walter’s dad picked us up and dropped us off at the port, Walter took us on a private tour of the Uros Island in the traditional boats, his mom cooked the most wholesome dinner and breakfast for us, his mom also showed us her handmade artesiana, which were all so beautiful and we were able to purchase some to take a piece of them home and support this wonderful family. They made sure we were comfortable at all times, the room was spacious, had a heater for the nighttime, since it gets cold, plenty of blankets, hot showers, spectacular views, what else can you ask for?! They talked to us about their rich culture, which was impressive and it was a gift that they allowed us to take a peak into their everyday life as foreigners were not allowed back then in the Uros. I can not recommend this stay enough!! My husband and I left with our hearts full and a memory we will cherish for a lifetime! THANK YOU Walter, Maria, Sabino and Elena! Mucho amor y bendiciones!

Lina and her family were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. She arranged transfer to and from port anytime I needed, booked taxis and even recommended/arranged tour guides. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious, a nice chance to chat with the hosts and other guests. Nights are pretty cold but I was given plenty warm blankets and hot water bottles. The sunset over the lake is beautiful - definitely an experience I’d recommend!

There is a private entrance at the country house for the convenience of those who stay. The country house has family rooms. We liked everything. It was unique experience ti stay there in the Siri’s island. From Manuel we learnt a lot about the history of Urus,about local people. It was amazing to stay and relax and to see the amazing Titilaka lake. We did kayaking thanks to Manuel. We even swam in titilaka.we went with the motor boat to see the local people and hid they live. Manuel family is very hosting and welcoming people. 100% everyone should try.
