Great place. Owner is a super-nice guy, running a nice honest business. Downstairs is a tire workshop, upper floors are a nice, new and modern hotel rooms. If you're scared leaving your bike parked outside (absolutely no need though), you can par it inside his workshop for the night. I left mine outside and I found it exactly how I left it.

If you want to be spoilt rotten and taken care of perfectly, this is your place to stay, no need to look any further. The owner does everything for you- dietary wishes, room service (he went out to buy a water kettle for us to use in our room); it is incredible. We usually do not write extensive reviews but he, his lovely wife and great son deserve more hotel guests so we hope this helps. Good quality beds, neat furniture, attention to detail and excellent meals. We truly wish him and all his staff all the best!!! He deserves it.

Staff couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. We ate breakfast and dinner outside at their restaurant and could not have been better catered for in lovely surroundings.
The bar was quite something with great views and service from the 8th floor.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with lovely views from their 7th floor location.

The place is blessed by nature with beautiful hills and lakes but unfortunately there are plenty of trash everywhere. One must be aware that there are no taxis in the region. There are only a few hotels with international standards. Fantastic food is easy to find.

This is absolutely Not a tourist town so if you like authentic, daily life encounters this is a welcoming town. We spent a day hiking and another day driving to Peshkopia to enjoy the thermal baths and see more of the country. Kukës seems to be a very fast-growing town with lots of infrastructure improvements underway. Every evening the main street is blocked off so the town can some stroll. SO civilized. Our stay at the Gjallica Hotel was delightful and we cannot recommend it highly enough! They make the Best bread in Albania so their Pizza is also the best.
