The property was older, but had some real charm. I liked the old style motel with parking in fromt of your room. It was close to the park and beach, as well as Okanagan Falls, and I liked that we were away from the busy part of town.
Featuring an outdoor pool, this Penticton motel is a 4 minute drive from Skaha Lake Park. All suites provide a flat-screen cable TV. Free WiFi is available.

Easy location to walk to beach, nice pool area and very clean pool, beautiful gazebos in the middle for eating and chilling. Just a short walk to the beach (which is lovely) and there is a new $5 simple mini golf nearby which was fun.
Bed was extremely comfy, air con was quiet.

The north end of Penticton, has wonderful walking paths along the lake and beautiful views up the lake. The paths have lots of benches along them for enjoying various views. The main downtown is easily walkable and there are some interesting shops on Main Street and Front Street. Petrasek Bakery has marvellous pastries and coffee. The used bookstore in the 200 block is one of the best ever!

We have stayed here before, always enjoy it. Rooms are clean and comfortable, beautiful scenery from the deck.
Discounted rate for golf when you stay and play which is an added feature, golf course is in great shape.
Enjoyed the continental breakfast, would be nice if it was extended to 10:00AM
Would like to see a hand rail put in the shower/bathtub to grab onto when stepping in and out for safety
Enjoyed the stay as always, can’t wait to come back

Naramata is better than Napa Valley in California.
Naramata is better than Napa Valley in California. In addition to wineries there are excellent restaurants with beautiful views. While Napa may have better wines, especially reds, only Naramata has the scenery and many things to see and do other than eat and drink. Kelowna and Oliver are not far away and these also have great restaurants and wineries to visit. The only disadvantage to Naramata is the lack of good restaurants that are open in the evenings, Monday through Wednesday, although Penticton restaurants are open.

The town is just 5 to 7 miles north of Penticton and 35-40 minutes south of Kelowna. It is convenient, especially to those wanting to be in close proximity to Penticton. There are several wineries close to Summerland and fruit and vegetables stands ( of course the latter in the summer months).
Summerland also has bike trails that enable one to ride to ODore Lake and Princeton. Those wanting to ride horses will also enjoy (and share) the bike trail that runs parallel to the Kettle Valley rail.

Really love Penticton! Lakes on both sides plus a lazy river you can rent floats on and enjoy floating down the river for a few hours. Great mix of food options plus all the regular summer lake activities.

Both the rich biodiversity of the area - so many different bird species! - and the human history of the place were of great interest. In addition, the large organic market garden was the source of intriguing conversations with our thoughtful, ever so capable and multi-talented host, Phyllis.
The inside of her home is unique and beautiful and replete with unusual items well displayed, each with its own story.

We used the property as a base to visit the beach and visit the local area - went to Penticton. If we'd had longer we would have visited a few of the local wineries but ran out of time. Shaughnessy's Cove was a nice place for an evening meal with a view of the lake.

It's a fun city year-round and beautiful down by the beach, especially up by Okanagan Lake where there is an excellent walkway. Lots of fun shops, love the small museum at the library, and an interesting art gallery. Plenty of great places to eat if you are gluten free/dairy free. Even vegan! Many hiking trails for all levels.

The view and surroundings lovely. So so beautiful.
The view and surroundings lovely. So so beautiful. Our room lacked a couple of comfy chairs and the ability to get ice. A few more glasses would be nice also. Tv was not great but not there to watch TV. Staff were very nce.. the rooms need a few more amenities to make them more welcoming. Again such a lovely setting.

Variety of hiking / walking trails was great, as were the challenging golf courses which were carved out of a combination of mountains and canyons. E.G., some greens were pretty challenging to hit!
There were a variety of different types of restaurants but beware: many (like the Chinese food place) were only open for lunch and virtually none were open past 7:30 PM. We especially enjoyed the Japanese Bistro. You have to be in pretty fit condition to hike or cycle in Summerland due the incline of many roads and trails.
