SIMON, the owner is exceptional! As former tour-guide he is well-versed in all sights not only in and around Gondar, but in Ethiopia as a whole. He is willing to offer his valuable advise and beyond that support with organizing things.
Simon is authentically friendly and hospitable, always available and helpful but never intrusive or pushy.
You can feel that he must treat his staff very well as they all share the same style.
I can wholeheartedly recommend his house as base for a stay in this area.
And: The lodge is strategically located right at the fence of the caste-complex and has - from the terrasse - a great view.

Well located, very new and very clean with good facilities. Don’t be put off by lack of reviews for the last 2 years - they leased the building to the Red Cross but are back in business

We had a wonderful stay, location very central, nice garden and great views of the mountains. A very healthy breakfast and Simon took very good care of us. We felt at home the moment we arrived.
