Larissa was such lovely host welcomed me at the property. With fresh fruits from the garden and bottled water. The Villa was perfect with fully equipped kitchen and utensils. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and with air conditioning in the bedroom. The pool was well maintained and clean with a nice view in garden. The location was also amazing, short walking distance to town. Absolutely beautiful place, highly recommended and would love to comeback.

breakfast, especially the pancakes, were delicious. The view from the bungalow was superb. The kitchen was very well stocked. Access to town was easy. Snorkel lagoon in front, and blue hole for swimming just up the beach.

The whole stay (3 nights) was amazing! After 8 nights at another island with the kids, we left them with the in-laws and flew over to stay at Koro Sun, we were greeted by our super friendly transfer driver Tuks who was very informative about Savusavu. We arrived at Koro Sun to a welcome drink and intro of the resort thanks Savi (and Im so sorry can not remember the name of the lady who greeted us with the drink), then went on over to settle into our floating bure, it was super amazing, I loved hearing the fish jumping out of the water outside the window, there was a kayak tied to the deck ready to explore the lagoon, the room itself was super comfy! The food was amazing (sorry I cant remember everyones names but Nai you were so kind in the restaurant) I hadnt done much research into our stay, was just happy to eat, relax and book into activities as they became available, so was nicely surprised to have a continental breakfast included each morning! We explored the resort the first morning and went on a guided snorkel out in the lagoon in the afternoon with Andrew, which was perfect for my experience! Went to the Kava ceremony hosted by Rinu (sorry if Im spelling your name wrong) and Manu, the Fijian dance/show and dinner that evening, again all amazing and worth the time! We booked into a couples massage the next morning, wow, listening to the waterfall with a relaxing massage is something else 😍We were told the barrier reef snorkel trip was a must, so we did that next, and it was more than amazing thanks Gina, Caleb and Amos! The waterfall trip was also worth the time, thanks Sam & Dan, we swam through the waterfall to climb the rocks behind and then jump back through the waterfall, so cool! Ended the day with a sunset cruise, again amazing! Thanks to the whole team at Koro Sun, from check in to room service, dining, the rainforest spa, activities and dive shop, you made our Fiji holiday the best time 🥰 Can’t wait to come back!!!

We had the most amazing time staying here. The house we stayed in is beautiful, spacious, and such a great price for what you get compared to a little blue property down the road beginning with S and also better than the resort just down the road, the coast line is just amazing but here it’s better than the other places on the island we visited. It’s right on the beach, and the location honestly couldn’t be better — safe for kids, perfect swimming for little ones as the reef stays shallow for a good 20m out but then off that some of the best snorkelling on the island just steps from the door. It was even better than some of our diving trips we paid a lot for although occasionally choppier water. During our stay we saw reef sharks here, sea turtles, a million different fish and even swam with wild dolphins just from this cove — such a rare and magical experience. The water is crystal clear, and every day felt like living inside a nature documentary. Clark the owner was outstanding. He cooked a few meals with us, showed us around and up to the sunset view and walked us out to other swimming spots and reefs, and even took us out to explore and offered lifts, a kite surfing lesson and had all the snorkels, goggles and reef shoes to borrow. We also loved catching the local bus to the market which stops just outside if you flag it down. This made our stay just so much more affordable too. I was here for Tony Robbins life health wealth mastery and it was MILES better and cheaper than the accommodation recommended. I even had a juicer and smoothie maker and hired a car, this meant I saved hundreds by taking my own food in and not paying for the food supplement. This place was everything we hoped for and more. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would come back in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the one bed ones but the three bed house at the front would suit a large family easily. There is enough to do on the island for at least a 3 week stay like we did.

My kids and I were after a peaceful and quiet Christmas and got exactly this and more at Tobu House. The house is simple yet elegant, warm and homely. We had access to the sea and took out kayaks to look at corals, had a lovely swim at the salt water Tobu, did a quick trip to the waterfalls and thoroughly enjoyed the greenery, farm animals and the peace and quiet. Kirsty and her lovely Dad were amazing hosts, they made sure we had all that we needed during our stay.

Everything, it’s basic but comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortably as possible. Osea’s food cooking was delicious and he has such a good sense of humour! The excursion to the waterfall and visit to the local village was very good and interesting and the rock reef beautiful. I have been left with some special moments. I had a wonderful time at Salt Lake Lodge 😄

Savusavu is a great location for a peaceful holiday, giving to a more traditional Fijian experience with less resorts on the island. The market is a great for self catering or just absorbing the atmosphere, especially early on Sat when the fish market is there too. The people are very friendly and fun to be around, as you walk down the street you are constantly greeted warmly with Bula! Nateway Bay is mostly untouched and an amazing place to see.

Definitely make the effort to venture across to Savusavu—it’s far more picturesque than Fiji’s main island. Getting around is a breeze: you can hop on local buses, grab a taxi, or simply wave down a friendly local for a ride (just agree on the fare beforehand). The people are incredibly welcoming and helpful—they’ll happily arrange any activity you fancy, and you’ll feel the rich Fijian culture everywhere. We even attended a Sunday singing service in the local church—it was breathtaking to hear the harmonies and feel the community spirit firsthand. One outstanding place to dine is La Dolce Vita Resort, where Chef Michele crafts everything from scratch—each dish melts in your mouth with fresh, local flavors.

Scruffy little town (and scruffy island) with not a lot for tourists. I have much preferred staying in the Mamanuca Island chain - cuter islands, more of a holiday feel and better snorkelling than what we experienced here. The best thing was watching steam rising off the beach in town at sunset, glowing golden in the late afternoon sun
