The house was very homey and comfortable. Host added all the little things which made our stay very comfortable like Japanese lollies to share. Instructions of using the appliances were clear. Host also added things to eat and do around the place.

Seriously, the Comfort Hotel/Choice Group CEO should visit this facility to see how they perform excellently. Not only they keep the hotel spotless, the quality and variety of "free" breakfast is one of the best I found so far. It was simply AMAZING! Not only that, the location was next to the central station, the size of the room was decent ("large" in Japanese standard), small refrigerator in the room and Washlet toilet were very good. We also took advantage of (coin) laundry during our stay. On top of that, quiet room and firm bed gave us a very nice sleep. Overall, again, it was nothing short of an amazing stay. Thank you very much for all staffs to make this happened.

The view of the mountains and houses was nice. I saw the sunset. Room was clean and comfortable. During the hot hours of the day, I felt tempted to stay in my room. Wifi was stable. Amenities were available for me to take from the first floor lobby, including bath salts, which I enjoyed as well!

I like the relaxed pace of Akita.
I like the relaxed pace of Akita. Learn about local history at the Akita City Folk Arts Center and Senshu Park; visit the art museums and explore Akita Arts Theatre Mille Has. I think it's also a great place to rent a car and drive out to the Oga Peninsula, or to one of the many onsen ryokan, or to Lake Tazawa. The scenery is beautiful, people are friendly and the food is hearty and comforting. Take the Shinkansen to Kakunodate and see the restored samurai residences in the cherry blossoms or the fall colors, and you can even try wearing kimono or take a rickshaw ride with a local guide. Don't forget to stop for Michinoku Pudding before getting back on the Shinkansen.

We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the...
We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the parking lot charged us 3200 yen for over nigh parking. We found not place to clarify why such high as the signage said maximum was 700 yen for over night.
I booked a counter table in 长屋酒场， but they offered sitting on tatami
with a few small tables... eating for 1-2 hours... just not comfortable. we left early and found not so good experience.

My only purpose to come to Akita was to visit the Shrine of our Lady of Akita. The famous tears shedding statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I'm a catholic. That was my personal pilgrimage.
I love Akita. People are polite and honest. They arr vwey helpful and try their best to communicate in English.
The place is very clean and peaceful. I love to live here.
