The apartment was in perfect condition. Everything looked new. When we arrived, we saw that the owner had written us a letter indicating that we had food and drinks available in the fridge (it was full).
There is a notebook with instructions on how to use the appliances.
The owners were attentive to us at all times. They recommended places to visit near the apartment.
The owner knows Spanish, so she made communication very easy for us.
On the last day she offered us dinner and some meals to take with us on our trip the next day.
Everything was prepared with love.

Very good value for money. Excellent alternative to the high city prices, while remaining within walking distance of the ferry, bus, center... Perfect for a few unpretentious nights. The position is great if you want to stay close to the...
The position is great if you want to stay close to the airport and walk around. You can catch a bus to/from the airport and to/from main town, you can also walk up to the hill, to the ferry and on the bridge. In the right season, you can also hire a bike. The room has everything that you might need, considering that you are planning to pass your day out. The supermarket and the restaurant are very handy as well.

Nice location for all sorts of excursions; viewing the close city, going for hikes in the area, visiting the famous Geiranger - which one can do with a 4 h boat trip each way. We found Alesund more interesting than eg. Bergen (which has loads of tourists).

The pictures on the booking page about access to the beach are not the same on site.

A two night stay gave us one complete day in Alesund.
A two night stay gave us one complete day in Alesund. Well worth walking up the 418 steps to the viewpoint. I would recommend Racoon bakery, delicious cinnamon bun and hot chocolate. Unfortunately the glass studio was temporarily closed.

Beware of the fine print when booking your room for the low discount price at Alesund Airport Hotel. Instead of a room in the actual hotel building, our room was in a little structure across the parking lot called the Mini Hotel. Our room was tiny and cramped with no place to put our luggage except the beds or the floor. I was unable to upgrade to a regular room so not happy with the checkin staff. One last thing, the Hotel is actually 10 minutes or several Kilometers from the airport.

Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction.
Ålesund, per se, is not a major attraction. However, this nice city is an excellent starting point to explore the surroundings spectacular fjords, drive the Atlantic road, and eventually go to other regions. That was what we did and it went extremely well.
Weather seems to be colder and wetter here than upper north and on the south of the country, therefore the travelling period should be carefully chosen.
