The place is quite rough and ready (and the host Terje is quite gruff too!). Our first impressions after our long journey were not great, too be honest. But as they say, you should never judge a book by it's cover... We were cajoled into an evening fishing/crabbing trip in Terje's small boat, taught how to haul in the nets, fillet cod and mackerel, crack open fresh crabs. Our catch was consumed with gusto in the communal dining room by guests from six different countries. Overall it was messy, slapdash, a bit crazy.. but also totally brilliant fun!! For the open-minded, adventure awaits!!!

Located in Ålesund, 13 miles from Color Line Stadion, Vestavind hytter og rom AS has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Everything! I felt very comfortable. Iris (the hostess) is a very nice and thoughtful lady and always made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable 😊. Also the area is really beautiful and peaceful, a bit isolated but there's a supermarket and a beautiful beach nearby and the airport is 6 min away by car. Just keep in mind that public transportation is not as frequent on weekends as on other days. I totally recommend this property for a long or short peaceful getaway 🦋

Located by the sea on Valderøy Island, these apartments are 6.2 mi from central Ålesund. All include free Wi-Fi access and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. We stayed in Apartment 3. The apartment was amazing with an ocean view. Hosts were very kind and attentive. Kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, oven and fridge. Kitchen adequately equipped to cook simple meals. Bed was very comfortable. Roomy with an eating area and a lounging area. The sunsets were fantastic. There is a small patio area in front to watch the ocean. And a lovely wak along the rocky shore.

Bright & Spacious Apartment by the Sea, Free Parking, 10min to Airport, 12min to Ålesund is located in Ytterland, just 7.5 miles from Color Line Stadion and 7.7 miles from Sparebanken Møre Arena. Upon entering, the house was lit up, and the owners had written a lovely welcome letter for us. It felt like coming home to this typical Norwegian house. You couldn't imagine anything that wasn't there. From a phone charger to perfumes for both the husband and wife. Everything you need is there. The refrigerator was fully stocked. The owners, Christian and Synnøve, are fantastic people and will help you with any questions you have. It's so relaxing there, the days flew by. It was a shame we had to go back home.
