A clean, spacious room, with an excellent shower — comfortable and warm, with high-quality toiletries. Wonderful breakfast and dinner, with options for every taste. In the morning you can step into the courtyard and greet the day with zebras and bongos, and before bedtime say goodnight to the ostriches — it’s very touching, and the child is absolutely delighted.

I'm frequently using booking.com to find accommodation for my travels, but this was the first time when EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect. Everything is in a very good condition, including the kitchen equipment (pots, enough plates, coffee maker, water kettle, induction stove, etc.). The bed was very comfortable. Blinders in the bedroom allow to sleep well during summer nights. The place gives privacy as it has separate entrance. The host is super friendly. The place is about 10-15 minutes walk from the Agder University and 30-35 minutes walk to the city center. It is a very quiet neighborhood.

My phone has no Wi-Fi couldn’t get the code. No front desk. We had to call in long distance to get a hold of someone. A guy was nice enough to help us out. We ate out at the sushi Asian restaurant, I had a refried rice. It was real good. We walked the trails which is hilly but enjoyable looking out at the ocean. We saw a big boat going by. It was a good day, we walked 14,000 steps!

Due to a snow storm we were unable to make it to the boat in Kristansand and this was our luck. We were able to add 2 more bonus days to our holiday at the last minute. And a bonus was the stay at the very friendly hospitable hotel Lillesand for sure. Stayed 2 nights in the suite in the quaint, kest-decorated picturesque village of Lillesand. Highly recommended.

I was only there for a couple of days as a layover onto my next stop. I wanted to hike the lumber site. I highly recommend taking the trip north to this area. The views were amazing, and it was a pleasant hike and easy for all ages.

Kunstsilo is one of the world's great art venues. The food there was good but not exceptional. While the city itself is OK and has some pleasant areas some of the smaller towns further north are more picturesque.
