Big and organised hotel with very polite and friendly employees, ready to help with a big smile.
The facilities were clean and tidy + comfortable and large beds.
We really enjoyed the lobby with the fireplace and the relaxing atmosphere and the spa facilities.
The menu was okay and the breakfast ,full of options + high quality - working with local ingredients and producers.
Just a few metres away from the city centre.

A very spacious and unique apartment in the old part of the town, had everything we needed. It was like living in a museum, with furniture and furnishings from previous generations, all in good condition and comfortable. Modern well equipped kitchen and bathroom, good bed, plenty of panel heaters. Parking permit provided.

The town definitely deserves the UNESCO status that it has...
The town definitely deserves the UNESCO status that it has the buildings date back from the 16th century and with the history of the copper mines makes it all more interesting.
The wooden buildings are exceptional and the insight of how the miners used to live. It gives you food for thought

Beautiful and historical UNESCO world heritage city. Definitely must to visit place. Food and accommodation is more expensive than in Oslo. You should well plan your visit. I recommend you to take walking tour with guide from the Museum

The town was bustling in the evening with lots of folks out and about, dining and shopping. We were looking for authentic Norwegian food that we did not find. There were a few musicians playing in the evening which was nice. We also thought the food was pricy compared with other cities in Norway.
