This is a little heaven. Super quiet and surrounded by a lush garden. You feel right at home. It’s close enough to the main center of Iquitos and there is lots of restaurants options around. Perfect to relax and stay away from the busy part of Iquitos. And the host is so nice and welcoming. She will make you feel like you are visiting your auntie. Highly recommended.

Morona Flats & Pool is truly an wonderful oasis you can find into the city of Iquitos. This refreshing and relaxing oasis is filled with greenery and a refreshing pool. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, with an open kitchen and a comfortable living room. The bedroom was also roomy, featuring a cozy queen-sized bed. The apartment is equipped with both air conditioning and a fan, making it easy to stay cool.
The terrace was lovely, completed with a hammock and a peaceful area to enjoy our morning coffee while overlooking the pool and the garden — a wonderful feature. One of the highlights of this little corner of paradise is the staff. Both Mrs. Carmen and Jorge went above and beyond to make us feel very welcomed, safe, and comfortable. Their kindness and helpfulness are exceptional, and the owner should truly value having such rare and wonderful people in their team.

Iquitos is a very poor city that does not have much in terms of tourist sites other than being the gateway to the Amazon, which is amazing. We flew in late, left for the Amazon tour early the next day, and then spent 6 hours in Iquitos before heading to the airport. We walked around the plaza and main tourist area but that took an hour or so. To be honest, I don’t think I have witnessed greater poverty, especially by the docks where the boats leave to go on the tours.

if you want fresher nights, ask for a room in the newly built part of the hotel. we got one with big windows to ventilate and it was awesome! also the staff is really kind and helpful and the interior design is nice. plus proper wifi which is rare in IQT!
