Amazing garden full of so many tropical trees and medicinal plants which you can use as herbs for tea. And there are so many cute animals that step into the garden. To see the prehistoric bird, Hoazin/Shanso to fly behind the house in front of you is a nice treat. Also you can see in the morning squirells, capibaras and monkeys and in the night tarantulas. I staid for 5 days and there were no mosquitos.

Had a great time in this hostel! The room was clean and spacious, the garden had a pool and hammocks for relaxing. Raul and his mother were very friendly and helpful, Raul offered a cheap taxi service and a city tour on the first day. They also offered me homegrown fruit and explained a lot about the local fauna and flora. Would definitely recommend and will come back for sure!

really nice and friendly staff. we enjoyed it very much and always felt welcome. of course we also bought our tour to the tampobata reserve in the hostel and didn‘t regret it (good price and value compared to others). we fully recommend this place!

This place is wonderful! It's so tranquil and relaxing but also absolutely teeming with wildlife - you can spot birds and monkeys from the comfort of your bed if you want. Absolutely loved our stay here, Sheila was so wonderful and helped us with taxis, renting bikes and even pointing out the monkeys swinging through the trees at night! The family who run the place is so sweet and we really felt like they cared about us there. The guest house is perfect, well protected from mosquitos and nice having our own little kitchenette too! Be prepared for lack of shops and restaurants in this area but it’s an incredible experience as you really feel like you’re in the wilderness of the jungle. Short taxi ride to the city anyway so not too far from civilisation. Such a brilliant stay would definitely come back! The juice that they give you at breakfast too is the most incredible thing in the world - my boyfriend says it’s the best he’s ever had 😍
