Such a great location! Right on the ocean and the lagoon is at the end of the road, about a 3 minute walk. Store with the very basics at the end of the road. Or you can go to the road and turn right. There is a store by the gas station as well. (No alcohol here though) Great accommodations! Research the few restaurants and hours and what days they are open before hand. We ate lunch & dinner at the one just past the gas station. ‘Snack Elda.’ Great dinner place on certain days right before the gas station. Opens at 5:30 I know on Thurs-sat. You must make reservations for the patio deck seating.

Thierry and Marie are amazing hosts and were attentive to all of our needs including airport pickups / drop-offs, transportation rentals (bike/auto) and local recommendations. The lodging includes a continental breakfast and is located in the center of town with easy, walkable access to restaurants and stores. The units were quiet and the view overlooking the ocean was nice.

The location was close to activities, restaurants, beach and offered beautiful ocean view (not the lagoon side). The two cleaning ladies on site were amazing, generous and helpful with everything they could possibly assist with. The cottage offered a small fridge and drinking water. There is no hot water but this is NOT an issue at all because the rain water is warmed up by the sun and if anything is slightly refreshing in the shower.

The owners were very helpful with arranging a scooter rental and transportation to and from the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked and we enjoyed making our breakfast in the morning before heading out for a day of scuba diving. Highly recommend!

The private beach and lagoon are magical - peaceful, pristine, and literally just steps away from your private, spacious front terrace. It’s a true slice of paradise. Isabelle and Kelly go above and beyond in every way. Their hospitality is unmatched—they are incredibly welcoming and immediately made us feel like family. From the moment we arrived, they took the time to learn about our interests and helped us book unforgettable excursions with awesome, trusted local guides. Isa and Kelly were always available, warm, and attentive, genuinely passionate about creating meaningful experiences for their guests. And Isabella’s cooking… wow! She brought us homemade breakfasts to our terrace each morning, plus a delicious homecooked dinner that was one of the best meals of our entire trip. Honestly, we originally planned to stay on the north side of the island, but choosing Fareana Lodge was the best decision we could have made. It’s serene, spacious, and feels like your own private paradise with the best hosts you could ask for. We felt lucky to stay on the more remote side of the island to see all that Fakarva has to offer. Isa and Kelly were truly a trip highlight, sharing their time, culture, and laughs. We can't wait to stay at Fareana Lodge again!
