This is aurbnb was the most novel accommodation I have ever slept in!
The room was filled with retro memorabilia, including jukebox, pinball machine, and a little, colourful bar.
There was 50s Americana all over the place! Ingrid was extremely kind in arranging to collect me from the railway station because it was raining in Kil.
Ingrid couldn’t have done enough for me, and I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Kil.

We travelled with a large family and this place exceeded all our expectations. The cabin we booked was very nice, the communication with the staff very seamless. Value for money very good. Nice lake nearby where you can take a walk and swim. The place had plenty of attractions for the kids - playground, a very big jumping arena, adventure track etc.

Cute and clean rooms. Perfect breakfast. Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. I really liked that there were plenty of shelves and hooks to put and hang your things. Great to have code instead of key to look after. Fantastic location!

Our experience at this hotel was positive. The hotel is located in a unique setting – inside a sports hall – which made for a fun and different atmosphere. Everything inside and outside the room was clean and pleasant, and the breakfast area really stood out: stylish, spacious, and offering a diverse and tasty selection of food. A particularly nice touch was being able to watch hockey practice through the windows while enjoying breakfast – a memorable and enjoyable detail.

Boat trips from Innre Hamn (Inner Harbour) take you on trips out to islands and around town on the river for the price of a bus fare. Only in the summer months though.
Walk along the river for beautiful views, see the old church, town hall etc.
Plenty of cafes and restaurants especially around the town square.
Have a coffee on the Stadshotell roof terrace with lovely views across the river.

A very basic, but clean, comfortable and friendly accommodation. Considering the low price, it gave excellent value for money!
Owner was very helpful and friendly.
A very scenic landscape and a nice small lake for swimming within easy walking distance.
I'm recommending it whole heartedly!

Second visit to Karlstad and both times have been too short. There is a lot to see, especially around the cultural area, including the Värmlands Museum and Sandgrund Lars Lerin. And pleasant strolls along the river and canals.
