We had a lovely stay with my family. The winter scenery was stunning with sunset on the frozen river. Location is great, very close to Umeå, yet already quite wild with immediate access to the river and the forest with several Nordic ski trails. The house is tiny but comfy with all you need for a short stay. The landlord lives in the house next to it, very friendly.

This place is a real home from home with very welcoming staff. It is an attractive hotel, the front part being a historic building and there are photos around the hotel to explain the history. There is a free buffet dinner included in the price as well as an excellent breakfast. And waffles mid-afternoon! They also did a bag of laundry for us, useful since we were on a long trip. The hotel is situated near the river and the town hall, an easy 15 minutes from the station. Our room was a good size with all we needed.
