Flight out of JFK was cancelled and was able to book a flight out of ISP the next day. Hilton Garden Inn was great. Staff was nice, room was clean and ready, AC was cold. Room was quiet. Bar was open and the bartender was great and had the pulled pork tacos which were very tasty. Checked out at 4am. I'd stay there again. Hilton Garden Inn's never disappoint.

We liked the location for ease to drive to other places from hotel. We drove down to the maritime museum and to the splish splash water park. Each about 20 minutes from our place. It seemed that once we got on a main hwy we were 15-20 minutes away from anything.
This is not a place to go if you want to spend time on a beach out by the "Hamptons" . I say this because all the beaches out that way seem to be available only to people with passes/ residents and their guests. So that bit of planning was not good on our part. We could have planned to go back toward the city and the beaches there but we enjoyed our couple of days in Ronkonkoma. Went to the local Carvel twice.(wednesday was BOGO). We did not spend time at the lake there, maybe if we had planned more time to just relax we would have gone over to it to stay. We just drove around the lake and the 3 towns surrounding it. Airport was around the corner and that was an extreme plus.

my room was given away and was stuck in pet friendly room had no choice due to room aready paid for. was told they would give discount never happened. Got sick from room smell told them did nothing till next day. never checked my reservation for the next weekend which they told me they would computer in there facility did not wrok was just night mare. Staff froendly but don>t keep there promises. Would not stY THERE OR RECOMENNED THEM EVER AGAIN.

We arrived at the hotel after 3am where we weren’t greeted
We were told automatically that we would have to wait 10 mins for us to be checked in
That wasn’t the issue
The issue I had with checking in was the hotel representative at front desk
He needed a confirmation number which I gave him from the email received after booking
He ended up having to take my phone to get the confirmation information
After he got it he proceeded to put my phone on the counter top instead of handing it back to me and then sanitized his hands
I felt very disrespected with the fact that he didn’t hand my phone back to me and santinitized immediately which I understand
But to not hand my phone back to me and placing it on the counter top was beyond rude
He just told us the room number and that was it
Worse experience ever checking in at a hotel
This will/would be my only reason for not returning to this location,other wise place was clean and the bed was comfortable

The bed was way too small. I booked a king size bed....I thought! The room was small, dark and noisy and had a weird chemical smell as if to hide a foul odor.
And....no itemized bill upon check-out!
Cost over $300.00 for a room that wasn't worth it.
Worst breakfast than any Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at.
Good coffee but no stirrers and only little Coffee Mate containers instead of milk or half and half.

Well the smell of old mold walking inside the property was unpleasant they need new rugs smells like they are being washed an not enough time to dry the staff was upset because I asked for room service 5 times out of my 8 night stays told me they wouldn’t be able to extend my trip because one of the ladies/staff said my bedding was wet didn’t understand that at all the staff that does room service wants to be paid an don’t wanna work the room rugs were dirty when I ordered room service they put the same sheets back on my bed didn’t clean or wipe down nothing very upsetting the draws an windows were dirty my room was at the end on the first floor heard and seen everyone walk in an out very annoying breakfast was disgusting the place needs to be updated an kept clean not clean at all

Carpet of all the places became very old and giving bad smell.
Corridor side wallpaper are in a bad position. It's tearing off.
Swimming pool area needs renovation to make beautiful.
Lobby entrance from out side needs renovation.

Well there’s 24 hours coffee available but only powdered creamer unless it is breakfast time so I did tell them they should keep out the creamer for people who want to have coffee other than at breakfast time so I went and I bought my own container of 1/2 n 1/2 to have, but this morning they did have it out before breakfast so maybe they are really listening to suggestions hopefully . I’m not a complainer just a Hugh coffee drinker!!
The hotel was clean enough the beds were not comfortable or the pillows and the TV has a bunch of light circles showing through on the screen they said they are replacing the TVs but not a good look.. A little disappointed🙁
