There were plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We ate at Olive Garden and Shoreline Brewery. Washington Park is their treasure. We were there specifically for the Dunes. We went to the outlet mall for a quick trip. It’s nice. We will go to touristy shops next time.

Love New Buffalo Michigan! Great Italian restaurant on Whitaker Street and red arrow highway. Stray Dog has good food and a wonderful second story outdoor patio and bar, overlooks marina and the lake. Nancy's has very good chicken tenders, ice cream, hot fudge sundaes, cheese curds, and super sweet staff!
WEKO beach in Bridgman is about 20 min north, loved that beach but more than New Buffalo beach. Highly recommend doing sunsets there, Taps is played every sunset, very lovely, even lyrics sung the night we were there. Beach is very clean, well patrolled, decent bathrooms. Scoops ice cream in Bridgman is great!! Only open after 3p tho.

Enjoyed the historical society for the first time, (after over a dozen vistits to LaPorte) You have a gem there!
Love the drive up 35 into town. Wish you had a prerecorded pod cast to listen to as we drive past those historic homes.
Wow on your court house!
We stay often at the Blue Heron, the walking path that goes by it is fantastic. LOVE the musical stops on either side!

The Inn at Union Pier was a wonderful experience and so very closr to the lake. It’s too bad the weather didn’t cooperate: 50s at the end of May.
I’m hoping to pay a visit over the summer. Highly recommend the Inn.
The Red Arrow Roadhouse has a delicious fried chicken dinner with the best and freshest green beans I’ve ever had!

Quiet little town with charm and a few shops close to train. Can ride away is the beach and casino. There is a mansion there as well but we didn’t have time to visit. Overall nice location from SouthShore train. Bike rental would have been nice. We were close to Central Beach at a quiet MOTEL ( Al’s)

If you are going for just the beach it is nice. Honestly the town was very small and very crowded. The restaurants in town were just so so. Places that were recommended were packed. Spent most of the time 10-15 mins outside of New Buffalo.

Look for itself was okay very disappointed with the Aries Resort because it was so not a resort it was a construction site you got chemical burns from the pool nothing was what it seemed no breakfast no bar no heat terrible terrible Hotel but look for was okay again please don't go to the Aries Resort not a good place they really should not be operating right now my daughter almost fell down the Elevator Shaft that had no caution signs around it and got chemical burns from their pool and when brought to their attention they didn't have nothing to say I had a waterfall in my room that damaged my stuff I was told I would get a refund from the hotel but of course that never happened I'm just forewarning anybody before they stay at the Aries Resort not a resort construction site.

A wonder visit at the Garden Grove Inn. It is a delightful B&B set on a lovely property with large rooms, extremely clean, and wonderful food.
Several parks close by Gailen and Warren as well New Buffalo which has a great beach area to spend that day. Union Pier is close to St. Joseph too. We liked the peace and relaxation we experienced at the Garden Grove Inn in Union Pier after the hustle and bustle of going to the larger areas.
At Skips in Union Pier there is a European Farmers Market on Saturday and Sunday, May- Sept. I recommend going fresh produce, artisan made cheese, meats, as well as hand crafted items. We truly enjoyed it and found things to enjoy now as well as some one-of-a-kind gifts.
We ate at the famous Redamaks and I highly recommend going there. We also enjoyed Villa Nova Italian and Caseys restaurants in New Buffalos

First time visitor and the family and I loved it. The Zoo was awesome. Botanical gardens was great!! Close to the beach and if we didn't have the kids we would of hit up the casino. Outlet shops were better than expected also. Everything is close or like a 10/15 min drive.

New Buffalo is a quaint Mayberry type town. There is a little bit of something for everyone. It looks like it is trying to expand and some franchises are getting in downtown. Such a shame since it should stay just the way it is and not turn in to a tourist trap.
